Landon stared out the window for a good minute before nodding. "I could do something like that, I suppose. Quick question. How many scripts have you wrote so far? And how come you can't write this script alone? You could just look up what Newlyweds are like, you know." He turned to look at Lucas, eyes big with curiosity.
-
"I write for in many different forms. Plays, some movies, reenactments, commercials. Anything I can do, I will do it. And I need help with this one because researching how human behavior for newlyweds isn't as real and entertaining as experiencing it. It's better to experience first hand than try to understand and believe what someone else has done. Because everyone is different." He explained, glad to answer any of Landon's questions.
-
Landon chewed on his bottom lip, pondering over what the man has said for a minute. "I guess that makes sense.." Landon had many more questions to ask him, but thought that he had asked enough for the time being. He tugged on his sleeve and stared out the window, lost in thought.
-
"Am I strange? For wanting to experience everything hands on instead of just looking it up?" He asked as he watched for the street his residence was on. He knew he wasn't necessarily normal, but who really was? He often felt like he was even more abnormal than all the rest.
-
Landon shook his head slowly, turning to look at Lucas once again. "I'm sure all script writers need hands on insperation at one point in their career. It would be kind of impossible not to, you know." Landon tilted his head slightly to the right, thinking. "From what I have seen so far, I don't think you're strange."
-
"I'm glad to see that my 'spouse' doesn't find me odd." Lucas gave a small smile as he pointed in the direction of his home. "Ah, and we're almost home, too. Feel free to look around when we get there."
-
Landon shifted in his seat uncomfortably, glancing out the window every few seconds. He wasn't sure what he would find when he got to their destination. Personally, Landon had only been in a neighborhood full of two story family homes, but he was going to the home of a script writer.
-
Lucas didn't have anything big and fancy. A big house was a lonely one unless you had a big family, so he stayed simple and modern, living in a two-story home that housed his writing space in one of the rooms. "We're here."
-
Landon opened the door to the cab when they finally arrived, looking the two story home up and down. It looked nice on the outside, but he didn't know what to think when he went to the home of a script writer. Landon walked to the back and opened the trunk, getting his own black suitcase out.
-
Lucas still offered to take the bag, twirling his keys a bit. He was fairly organized and, unlike most busy working people, his kitchen sink was never full. He either ordered out or ate very little. But seeing as someone else would be staying with him, he thought it best to go grocery shopping at some point, so Landon wouldn't go hungry. "I know it's a bit early, but what would you like for dinner tonight?"
-
Landon reluctantly let Lucas take the small suitcase. He gazed at the house, biting his bottom lip. He turned to Lucas and gave him a small shrug. "Anything is fine, really."
-
"Have you had tofu before? I learned a dish called Buju Jolim that only takes about fifteen to twenty minutes if you'd like to try it." Lucas told him. He went out of his way to learn all kinds of things to do a piece about a group of people of all different ethnicities, and even had written a few specific pieces that went into tradicional cultures. Foods to fit each culture was necessary. "Or maybe I can make goulash. That takes more time, and I might have to go to the store for either one.." He trailed off, adjusting his glasses.
-
"I've never had it before, but tofu sounds fine. You must be quite the cook if you know so much, huh?" He started towards the family home, humming as he walked. He decided if he was going to have to stay with this man and pretend to be his husband, he might as well get to know him a little bit better.
-
"It doesn't really have a taste to it, but I think it depends on how it's cooked for texture. And I suppose I'm alright, I don't usually cook for myself." Lucas told him as he went for the door, fishing through his keys to find the one to open the front door. He wanted to experience everything he could, so long as Landon stayed. "Come. Make yourself at home." He told the younger as he opened the door.
-
"What do you mean when you say you don't usually cook for youself?" Landon questioned with a slight head tilt as he walked through the door. He walked in enough so that Lucas could step in as well, taking in his surroundings.
