Jeremy grinned, but Charles frowned, his ears flattening and his arms crossing as he grumpily went back to the couch and laid down.
"Of course I will, Tae. Don't worry about it. He'll be fine," Jeremy said, while Charles was on the couch repeating "does not like" over and over. -
Tae slowly walked over to the couch and knelt down next to it. "Behave yourself. I promise I will come back soon." Then, despite his better judgement, he gently kissed Charles between the ears. Without waiting for a response, he grabbed his bag and walked out the door.
Raymond finally got the top off of the can, and he licked the pork from the can while he made his way towards the living room. He dropped his can when he saw Tae kiss Charles then leave. He liked that cat better than HIM?! -
This quieted Charles, and though he did not understand Tae's gesture of kissing his head, he did know that Tae was leaving and so there was no point in complaining anymore. He jumped when he heard a loud noise, and in a split moment was behind the couch again, cowering behind it.
Jeremy hurried to Raymond, staring at the mess of pork he'd made. "Ray! Why'd you do that? We can't leave a mess." -
Tae walked to the library that was across the street. The sidewalk was wet from the rain last night, and his shoes were soaked in a matter of minutes.
Raymond growled and looks down at the can he dropped. He knelt down and turned his gaze to Charles. He kept his eyes on Charles as he scooped up the pieces of meat in his hand. When all of it was cleaned up, he turned to Jeremy. "T-Tae....K-K-Kiss..." He spat the words out as if they were acid. -
Charles was peeking over the back of the couch when he accidentally met eyes with Raymond who looked angry. He whimpered, and ducked back down, trying to hide himself.
Jeremy gave Raymond a funny look for a moment, before he figured out what he meant. "Oh, Ray, that's just because Charles is nervous. He doesn't know us, you know?" -
When Tae finally made it to the library, it was mostly empty. He sat in the chair behind the large wooden counter and put his feet up on the counter.
Raymond stood up completely with the can in his hand. He suddenly wasn't hungry and he walked back into the kitchen to throw it away. After he did that, he stomped back into the living room. "K-K-Kiss!" He muttered under his breath as he sat down on the floor. -
Jeremy sighed, following Raymond to sit beside him on the floor. "I've done that to you before, right?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. "I have. So what's wrong."
Even though it had hardly been a few minutes, Charles asked loudly enough so that both of them would hear, "Wh-what is hou-hou-hour?" -
Tae glanced at the clock. To his dismay, only ten minutes had pasted. He took a book of the shelf at random.
Raymond let out a small growl at Charles. "H-He!" He spat, eyes on Charles. -
"So, what's wrong if Charles gets a kiss too? Be nice, Raymond," Jeremy said, pulling the dog hybrid into his lap to pet him.
Charles cowered behind the couch, hissing at Raymond and covering his ears. "Ch-arles does n-not like!" -
Tae flipped to the first page which was yellow with age. He blew the dust off of the pages and began to read.
Raymond relaxed as Jeremy pet him, averting his eyes off of Charles and back onto the floor. -
When Raymond seemed to calm down some, Charles hurried out from behind the couch, running to Tae's bedroom and into his closet.
Jeremy sighed, "We have to get home... Can you go get him?" He asked Raymond, gently pushing him away. -
Tae kept glancing at the small clock on the counter as he read the book about ancient civilizations. Time was going by slow, too slow, and Tae really wanted to check up on Charles and make sure he was okay.
Raymond let out a sigh, dragging it on to show how badly he didn't want to do this. Even though he didn't want to, he stood up and went to where Charles had gone. He walked into the small bedroom and knocked on the closet door. -
Charles was in the middle of changing his pants into a pair of Tae's when he heard the knock. That morning, he'd learned his first lesson of living in Tae's house- that knocking was not good. As soon as he heard it, being clad only in his own underwear and Tae's sweater and tail tube, he quickly burrowed under the clothes pile.
-
Tae did the math to see how much time he had left until he could leave. FoUr had fourty more minutes. He left off a soft groan, and the door to the library opened. He averted his eyes to the door to find a large man walking in. "Welcome to-" Tae gasped as the man sprinted towards him and put a hand over Taes mouth. He tried to scream, but it was blocked out by the man's hand.
Raymond stood by the door, particularly annoyed that he wasn't immediately coming out of his hiding spot. Raymond knocked again, this time a bit louder. "C-Come!" -
Charles was almost relieved that it was only Raymond outside the door, but he changed his mind, staying under his pile. He stated the phrase that he had said so many times then that he was good at it. "Charles does not like!"
