Charles cowered a little when he heard footsteps approaching, but they ended up entering an apartment right next to the alleyway so the person didn't pass. Charles sighed in relief, pulling his knees to his chest.
Jeremy, contrary to what he'd said on the phone, was sitting on his couch staring out the window. "Tae! Over here!" He called, staring intently out his window while making a motion with his hand to come to the couch. -
"I'm coming, chill." Tae walked over to where Jeremy was and glanced at the television. "Jeremy, the telly is off. I don't have time for games."
Raymond watched with curiosity as Tae walked right passed him, not even giving him a second glance. Raymond didnt know why Tae didnt like him, but it made him upset. -
"Shhh, Jeremy urged, making wild hand gestures to indicate Raymond, trying to motion that he didn't want the dog hybrid to see. "Just come here, look. Really quick." He pressed his nose up to the window, then pointed out of it with his hand, into where, if he looked down, he could see the bottom of an alley. "Look down there."
Charles was wondering by then if he should get a move on, and find somewhere a bit warmer to be. It was pretty cold outside, and his feet felt weird on the ground. He sneezed, and then wrinkled his nose, uncomfortable with the sound it made. -
Tae sighed and walked over to the window. He slowly stuck his head out it and looked downwards. At first, all he saw were a few trash cans and pieces of paper. "I dont see- Oh..." Then he saw it.
Raymond glanced over to look at the two boys. What could be outside that window that was more important than him? Raymond let out a small purr to get their attention. -
Jeremy nodded, "See, I told you it was important." He kept staring out the window, watching as the hybrid down below seemed to jump at his own sneeze. "I think we should bring him inside."
Charles rested his head against the wall behind him, flicking his ears around in boredom. Really, this wasn't turning out good. He was cold and hungry, and just wanted somewhere to take a nap where people wouldn't find him. -
Tae jerked his head up, completely appalled by his statement. He glanced over at Raymond and spoke in a harsh whisper. "How are you going to take care of two of these things? You are crazy!"
Raymond looked over at them. They seemed to be having trouble. -
"Well..." Jeremy hummed, "I can't, but you can have one, right?" Then, before Tae could make an argument, he said, "It's not even that hard. They eat normal food and they're nice and stuff, right, Raymond? Come here, Raymond!"
Charles sneezed again, jumping even more this time. He feared that being outside the laboratory had made him sick, and afraid of dying of his sneezes, he held his knees tighter and tried to hold down the sneezes. -
Tae's jaw dropped. I am not taking care of one of these..creatures!
Raymond, thrilled to finally be of use, quickly went over to wear the two boys were. He let out a soft purr and layed at Jeremy's feet. -
Jeremy sighed, pouting. "Please, Tae? I'll watch him whenever you're at work or busy, I just need you to feed him and let him sleep at your house, please?" He looked out the window, just as Charles was standing up. "Please please please! Look, he's going to leave and someone dangerous is going to find him please!" Jeremy begged.
-
Tae looked down at the hybrid. He knew Jeremy was right; something back would happen to it if he did not take care of it. He sighed and crossed his arms. "If you can get it in my apartment while I'm at work, I will try one night. One. You already know I think they are annoying and I won't flinch at throwing it right back outside. Got it?"
Raymond tilted his head. What could they be talking about?
(Is Raymond suppost to be able to talk or is he still like Charles?) -
"You know I can't leave Raymond home alone, and he isn't dressed to go outside. Can't you get him?" He bent over, leaning down to pet his hybrid. "Just be gentle, he'll go with you."
Charles started to step down the alley, but then turned back around and went to the corner again- it was still raining, and he hated water. -
"Fine. But if he resists, I'm going straight to work without looking back." He backed away from the window. While he was leaving, he thought of all the ways this could get him in major trouble. What if be was late for work? He could get fired. He left the apartment and turned down the alley, walking slowly.
Raymond purred and swished his tail happily as Jeremy pet him. -
Charles was rather okay in the alley at that point, up until he heard a door opening and then there were footsteps coming towards him down the alley. He looked up, his ears flattening against his head as he hissed.
Jeremy watched from his window, cracking it open to hear whatever Tae might say to the hybrid.
(Lol I realize I forgot to answer your question. He can talk, but not very well because he had to learn how to cx) -
Tae looked the hybrid up and down. He was kinda..cute. No! He thought to himself grimly. He needed to stick to the situation at hand. He watched the hybrid's ears flatten as he hissed. "Hello.." Tae started, taking a small step towards him.
Raymond watched as Jeremy looked out the window. What is with people today and windows? He thought.
(xD Kay.) -
Charles realized that his warning hiss hadn't done much. And that wasn't good, because his hiss wasn't really warning of anything, considering the fact that he had no idea how to fend for himself. When the stranger stepped closer, he stepped backwards, until his back was pressed against the wall.
Jeremy patted the spot on the couch next to him, inviting Raymond up. "Come watch Tae scare this guy."
