(Oh my god my mom is on the phone going on to her friend about how I want my hair cut short because I think I'm gay and I just
shut
up)
The exam was pretty easy- Chemistry, a better subject of his. He was sure he did well. After exchanging a few jokes with his friends, Charlie slipped out, wondering how to kill half an hour before he had to go make up his Statistics exam. He decided that a quick smoke would kill at least five of those minutes. With that thought in mind, he headed to the back parking lot, to the small corner where he would be hidden behind the cars. And, after searching his pockets, found that he had left his lighter at home. "s---," Charlie hummed, running a hand through his hair. With a sigh, he headed back to the building, deciding to just glance around some class rooms for one.
Amid his search, Charlie heard music. Normally, the teachers that came in early were all work, work, work, so he was a little surprised. -
(I want short hair simply because I hate long hair)
Matty was in his own world, remembering when he was a student not too many years ago, the reason he'd become a teacher. An English major. His English teacher when he'd been a senior always tried to make things fun. He played music, was very expressive, and managed to get even the laziest of students to do their schoolwork. And on Fridays, the man had a numbered list of different dances that they would do every week. Matty smiled to himself, hoping to be like that man, but with his own touch. -
(Same
Because I hate having to straighten it and fix it in the morning and just
I want jack frost hair tbh)
Charlie continued down the hall towards the music, peeking into every class room for any discarded coats, that would happen to have lighters in them. The one coat he found didn't, and he kept going, until he was at the end of the hall, a few feet away from where the music was coming from. -
(Jack Frost hair~)
He was playing with his fingers as he stared at the layout of the desks, humming to the current song softly. He didn't want the class set up to just be plain old rows and columns. So he took himself to the computer, searching for ideas to make sure his Juniors and Seniors could get to know each other better. While seeming like a fun teacher at the same time. -
(Yessss
I actually just want short hair so I can pass as a boy at school)
It took him a moment of hesitation, but Charlie moved forward, glancing into the classroom. Sure enough, there was a discarded coat, but there was also a teacher sitting with his back to Charlie. He seemed busy, and the boy wondered if he could get in and out without being noticed. Probably not. But he could pretend to have "stumbled upon the wrong classroom" while in search of the one he was to take his test in. So, with that excuse playing in his head, he pushed the door open, hoping not to make any noise. -
(I know a few people like that)
Matty was leaned forward in his chair, tapping his foot on the floor as he scanned the different classroom layouts. "Ohh, that one's cool, but maybe I can..." He trailed off as the gears in his head spun. His coat rested on the back of the chair he was sitting in, along with his scarf. He hadn't heard the door open, but he could feel the rush of cool air. He turned down his music to hear. "Is someone there?" He asked curiously. -
(Well, not all days. Just some. Genderfluidish? I guess I dunno)
Charlie almost turned away and took off, but the voice sounded really familiar. He couldn't place it, really, but he stood at the door a moment too long to leave. Clearing his throat, he did his best innocent-lost-notreallyafreshman voice. "Ah, um, yes sir. I was.. Looking for the statistics make up tests?" He winced. This was the English hall. Maths were all the way on the other side of the building. -
(I got ya
Some days super boyish, other days cute gril with short hair)
There was something that seemed strangely familiar about the student's voice but couldn't quite put his finger on it. Still, he smiled. "Ah, I'm a bit new myself, but.." Matty turned in his chair, pointing out the direction. "The mathematics wing is that..way..." His voice faded as he stared wide-eyed at the younger. He recognized the student instantly, and it made his heart race for multiple different reasons. -
(Yessss
I just gotta get a binder because mine brooooke)
"Oh, f---," Charlie mumbled, as soon as the teacher turned around, knowing right away where that voice was from. His facade dropped, and he closed the door, stuffing his hands into his pockets. "I just wanted a lighter. Seriously. Are. You. Kidding. Me." He wasn't really talking to Matty, but rather to himself. Of course, he'd hooked up with people he knew in town before. The man who worked in the deli at Walmart. The one guy who ran a small library. But never, not even once, had he had sex with a teacher who taught at his school. This could be a problem. -
Matty had already thrown his head into his hands, cursing himself and repeating softly all the potential consequences of what could happen if the principal, the board, anyone at all, found out about their relations with each other. For awhile he wasn't paying much attention to his little cupcake from the night before, but when he looked up, he let out a gentle sigh and carefully made his way over to Charlie, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Calm down, cupcake. We'll just have to act natural. No one knows, and no one will so long as we act normal. You can do that, right, Charlie Cupcake?" He teased a bit to try to help the other relax.
-
"Maybe not calling me Cupcake would be a great start," He stated, pulling away from the hand. "We can. I can. I just.. Never had something like this happen before," He muttered, running a hand through his hair. He pulled away from Matty, sitting on one of the desks, keeping his hands in his pockets. "I just.. Yeah. Distractions, you know?"
-
"All right, Charlie. I haven't gotten my lists for classes yet, so I don't know if you're on it yet. But in the case that we spend an hour in the same room every day, we are teacher and student." Matty sucked his lips in, moving over to stand in front of him. He made sure they couldn't be seen as he leaned in a bit, a smile on his lips. "I just hope that you'll allow me to take you out sometime when you're eighteen. Anywhere you'd like for helping me keep this all a secret."
-
"I hope not," He mumbled, licking his own, suddenly too-dry lips. "Somewhere public? Dude, I'm not.. Like, out," Charlie stood, and was going to move back, but didn't, even though they were right against each other. "Not officially. Like, people know, but they don't.. Know."
-
"When you're eighteen and ready, give me a call." Matty smiled and adjusted his glasses, placing a hand on the small of Charlie's back to lead him to the door. "Now, you'd better go get that test taken care of. Don't want to have to repeat the class right? And, Charlie, if you need anything at all, feel free to ask me. I'll gladly help you with whatever it is."
-
"..Well, I kinda need a lighter. Got a bit before my next exam, and, yeah," He answered, raising his eyebrows in question. This was weird, Marry acting like a teacher, all grown-upish. It was different from the man he had met last night.
