"I do. Mark doesn't," He hummed, glancing around. Charlie moved, be-coking Matty to follow him into the dimly lit living room. The boy dropped onto the couch, wincing at the pain from his busted ribs getting jarred a little. "I'll figure that out when I get there," Charlie leaned back, staring up at the ceiling. "You're calling me beautiful? Hah. They'll have to. I clearly can't take care of myself. Probably would have lied there until my dad got home and finished what he started if I hadn't called Mark." The boy winced, realizing he had just admitted that it had, in fact, been his father who'd inflicted the beating. He prayed that Matty wouldn't notice his slip, and tried to brush it over. "So, how did today go for you?"

"Maybe you should tell him what's what." The older followed after Charlie, leaning on the arm of the couch and peering down at him. "Of course you're beautiful. If you stopped being a prostitute, it'd be easier for you to look for someone to be in a relationship with. And..we're not going to talk about my boring day working with and teaching students. your father should be arrested and imprisoned. Why have you not called the police sooner?"

"Nah. He's lazy," The boy huffed, and shook his head. "I'm not beautiful, and I'm not looking for a relationship yet. And.. And my dad is all the family I have. If I turn him in, I go into the system, and I've heard horror stories. Anyways, I have more freedom this way." Charlie breathed in, changing the subject by repeating himself. "How did today go for you?"

Matty walked over to stand in front of the other, gently taking his face into his hands and making the younger look up at him. "You're tough for being so small. You realize they can't put you into any system when you're eighteen right? Even if he is your only family, he has no right to lay a hand on you, especially when it's this severe. Charlie, I'm not talking about a boring school day, you know how they are. But..we did start reading a new book. I brought you a copy and a list of what chapters should be read each day, so you can try to keep up."

Charlie shook his head, slowly pulling the man's hands away from his face, dropping the subject. "A book? What about? Am I allowed to read ahead?" Charlie liked to get his work done in advance so that he could use his nights as he wished, regardless of it that was working, or sleeping.

"Ah...It's..Well, it's called 'Positive: A Memoir'. I read it when it was published just before the school year started. I doubt it will make much of a difference, but I'm hoping it will help at least some students understand how serious bullying can be. Especially when someone's born with something they can't control." Matty explained a bit, carefully taking a seat beside Charlie. He actually wasn't sure what the principal would think of it, having not bothered to ask. He had the right, as a teacher, to create his own lesson plans. "I don't know if you'll like it, but I hope everyone will at least try to read it. I might even make some short quizzes to make sure you're all reading, so read as much as you wish."

"I'll probably have it done in a day or two. I don't have much to do other than sit around here. I actually probably need to get those bills paid," He hummed, chewing on his lip. He'd need to give some to Mark, too, for the food he'd been eating.

"That reminds me.." Matty carefully took the envelope and a copy of the book from his bag, handing them to Charlie. "Sorry I couldn't offer more, sweet, but I hope this will help, if even only a little. And here. You can start reading whenever."

Charlie took the items, nodding. "Alright. I know how tight money is, trust me. It'll be enough to get me over to next month, if I sell some s--- on E bay," He smiled, leaning over to kiss his cheek. "So, this weekend, then?"

Matty's eyes widened a bit at the kiss to his cheek and smiled, turning to catch his lips in a quick kiss. "How about you just let me know when you're feeling more into it? You may be a prostitute, but to me, your comfort matters when it comes to carnal bliss."

The boy grinned, returning the peck on the lips, before leaning back into the couch. "I thank you for that. It would probably be better if I heal up a bit. My bones heal quick, so.." He hummed, turning his attention to the TV.

"Just give me a call when you want me to 'know' you." Matty told him and stood up to stretch, getting ready to make his leave. A great part of him wanted Charlie for the night, but he forced himself to refrain in order to preserve the younger's health and emotions. "Oh, and will I be able to do it bare and raw with you, sweet? Or do you still want me to wear condoms?"

"..I suppose, if we're both clean, there's no reason you can't. And, anyways, I think I'll enjoy it," He smiled, getting up to show him out. He stood by the door, and gave him an awkward smile. "I'll be back at school the day after tomorrow."

"I can't wait then. I'll be gentle when we do it." The older smiled and gave the younger a last kiss before stepping outside. He pulled his glasses from his pocket and nodded as he put them back on. "I'll see you in class then, but don't push yourself, all right?"

"I'm sure you will," He hummed, nodding at the question. Charlie closed the door behind him, and ran a hand through his hair, sighing. It was going to be a long couple of days.
