After she got the bacon sizzling, she started putting butter in the pan before cracking some eggs, and soon setting the shells on a napkin.

Emily scrambled them in the pan, took off the bacon after it finished, then started finishing with the eggs. She eyed the fridge as she thought of getting the orange juice out soon.

As soon as she finished with the eggs, she grabbed two glasses, and the orange juice and started pouring it. She then chopped up the bacon and mixed it with the eggs, and then left it to cool for a bit. Emily sighed and went to the living room to check on everyone.

After setting the glasses of juice down, she got two plates from a cabinet. "You can serve your self if your hungry."

She tilted her head. "When was the last time you ate?" Matthew was on his back, asleep on the floor.

Emily eyed him warily, and frowned. He looked thin for his age. And it wasn't like one meal would hurt. "Ok." She said softly, and went to the living room to pick up Matthew.

She held him carefully, his head propped on her shoulder, her arms held firmly around him. Emily set him gently in his crib, and pulled a blanket over him. She stood by him for second, thinking. He wouldn't stay this way forever. He would grow up, get a girl friend, and move away. Maybe even have kids of his own. Then she would be a grandmother.
