"You know what I mean, Atemu. All you werewolves are crazy strong. Anyway."
Ann smiled. Internally. "Alright, I want you to imagine you're on a desert island. I mean, desolate. There's maybe one tree, and the entire island is maybe three metres squared. You can't see any land on the horizon, just an endless expense of blue. It stretches as far as you can see, and probably much much further. On top of this, the water is full of starving sharks and jellyfish. Both are hungry enough to ignore any sort of mental command, as well as eat anything you try to build. The wind is blowing downwards powerfully, strong enough to force birds to land, and probably anything else that tried to fly. You yourself have nothing but the clothes on your back."
Ann took a deep breath. "So tell me. How do you escape?" -
Atemu frowned as he thought
-
Angela thought for a moment. "I have just one question, can I use 'Fantasy'?" Angela asked.
-
"Can you think of a way to use Fantasy to get off the island?" Ann asked, raising an eyebrow.
-
Angela nodded. "I'll use a lightning bolt to cut down the tree, then make a spear using a piece of cloth from my clothes I would kill a shark using another lighting bolt, using the shark's teeth I would put it near the edge of my stick and use the cloth tying the shark tooth to the stick, i had created a spear with my materials. Lastly I'll make a cloud that can carry anything and get off the desolate island" Angela said as she began reading her book, again.
-
"Interesting, and unnecessarily violent. Why did you need a spear again? And how do you account for the wind?" Ann said, turning to Atemu, "What about you then? Do you have an answer?"
-
Angela sighed. "violence is everywhere you go, life is violence" Angela mumbled as she hid her face within her book.
-
Atemu closed his eyes "i could use my magic to make a dragon to scare of, or distact, the sea creaters"
-
-
"I prescribe to a more Kant-ian philosophy myself. If life is suffering, then any action taken to reduce suffering in others is moral. Similar, but noticeably different." Ann remarked, before taking out a pen and jotting down a few notes on her arm. Her book was still in the library, of course.
"I'll tell you, when I was given this test, they disqualified me for punching the instructor in the mouth. Fun times."
Sitting down, Ann turned to Atemu, "What about you then? In a single word, what is life?" -
Atemu smiled "stars"
-
Ann paused for a moment, before she let out a broken smile. Then she slipped her mask back on, "I'll admit, that's a new one. You want to explain?"
-
"No matter where you look apon the sky, you will see the stars.it is the same with life, its every were you look." He said
-
"What if it's day?" Ann asked.
-
"The sun is a star"
