Atemu snarled and tried to bit the chains, burning his mouth. He screamed in pain and lashed out with his claws
-
Jason smiled a bit. He turned around following her.
-
Walking through the tunnels that made up the base, Ann stopped at the bottom of the stairs leading to the surface. Ann wasn't sure why they chose to build the base underground, but she admitted that leaving it gave her a small bit of pleasure. Glancing over at Jason, Ann smiled, "So, how has your day been, Jason?"
-
Atemu roared loudly and started tairing at himself in anger
-
-
"It's been alright I taught a certain someone a few things, I did some research, and now I'm getting a smoothie...how has your day been?" Jason asked as he closed his eyes.
-
"I talked to my mentor about some personal issues, he helped me get rid of some pent up anger, which was really therapeutic. I think sometimes I take things too seriously, but you know, that's just how it is. I had to stay up all night though, but that's fine because I don't usually sleep anyway. I've got this...thing messed up in my head that makes it hard to sleep. Oh, and I'm worried Angela might be a violent sociopath."
Ann gave a nervous chuckle. "I'm sure it will all work out in the end though," she said, "So, help me out with something here, how did you get your powers? How did your parents feel about them?" -
Atemu started making gashes in the floor
-
"Well, I met this old man with the powers i have he was covered in blood trying to save someone's child at least that's what he told me, before he died he gave me his powers which I now control, I was walking home through the woods where I met him...it took a whole day for me to get home, so when i got back I touched my mom's old doll and it turned completely black....my parents nearly killed me but I managed to get away before it became a blood bath," Jason said with a sigh. "I don't think Angela is going to be a violent sociopath violence is everywhere" Jason said as he pointed to a grasshopper eating a butterfly.
-
Atemu heard the chain snap and he howled loudly, making the cage shake
-
Ann shrugged, "Yea, she already told me that. I assume that was your doing?" Slowly, Ann started to walk up the stairs, one at a time. The moon shined over as she stepped out into the air, hiding her surprise at the time. It occurred to her that maybe she should have had a dinner, instead of a breakfast. "Look, I know I'm the last person to talk, but so what if violence is everywhere? Are we wild beasts? Do we not control our own fates? Nobody ever built a skyscraper by fighting each other. Co-operation, diplomacy, forgiveness. Just because violence is everywhere doesn't mean it needs to be her first option. Nor does it mean it needs to be an option at all. Man is rational, he can be persuaded, talked down. But to kill a man, that's a grave sin. That's the kind of thing that sends you to hell. All I'm saying is, just because animals fight doesn't mean we need to. We should be better. Call it the angelic blood in my veins, but there's no excuse for violence."
-
Atemu charged at the bars, smashing in to them with a loud bang
-
"Angela can't go to hell you know that right? Angela's immortality is very rare but I can go to hell because of my sins but as long as i have a happy life I wouldn't mind suffering" Jason said with a sigh. "Violence may not be in some certain places but in someone's life they had to deal with violence....also, if someone was about to kill you do you talk to that person or kill that person?" Jason said as he opened one eye. "Now, I'm talking crazy" Jason mumbled.
-
Atemu shook his head and charged again, denting the bars and making the rooms closes to him shake slightly
-
"I meant metaphorically. You know, 'out damned spot,' and all that. Obviously Angela can't actually die." Ann said, heading towards town. Her hands slipped into her pockets as she walked, leaning back slightly to make herself comfortable. "Really? I can't think of any time someone would need to use violence. Maybe if they were fighting a bear, but that's about it."
In response to Jason's question, Ann gave it a little thought before replying, "Me? Personally I'd kill them. But I've killed people before and it's too late for me to change my ways. For Angela though? I want her to take the third option. Protect herself without killing her attacker. Disable them, escape, change their mind. She has Fantasy, she has no excuse to kill someone. There is always another way."
