Veronica took her seat at the table, and she looked somewhat confident about sitting. Emma took a seat next to Mitchell because she, like him, wasn't very sure where to sit either. For some reason she wished there were name tags on the table for seating arrangements as if they were in a royal dinner party. Funny how she was so worried about a nice dinner with friends and family.
But then she felt odd. She wasn't sure what to say. Would she sit and not speak? Or would she be set on the spot and have to talk during all of dinner? -
:D
His foot tapped against the floor with agitation, and thankfully, it was quiet enough to go unnoticed. He took a series of deep breaths, and the tapping eventually faded away along with his anxiety. He lifted his head and thanked Veronica and Ronnie for inviting him to such a special occasion.
"Dudeee. No problem," Ronnie replied, taking his seat and grinning. He loved being in the company of family and friends. It always seemed so warm and inviting, even if there was a little bit of tension in the air. He had the conviction that the night would go exactly as planned and that he would be capable of going to sleep without earning an earful from his wife. -
*Poke*
dude I feel odd, what should they talk about?
Veronica gestured to the food on the table. Everything was set out wonderfully, and perfectly; it was like Thanksgiving all over again. "Help yourself to some food Mitchell, it is a dinner party after all," she said.
Emma decided that she couldn't just sit there in silence anymore. She cleared the frog from her throat. "And I can get you something to drink if you'd like," she said. -
agh my god
IDK in the movie it was medications ;S so uh idk food maybe agh
Mitchell wasn't sure as to how to react, especially having been away from social situations for so long. He contemplated a response, and not wishing to be rude, accepted the offer for a drink. He asked for water in a polite tone, thanking Emma promptly afterwards. He smiled, as well, to bring light into the conversation. -
*Poke poke* :P
Yee, kk food is good.
"Sure, and of course," Emma said while walking into the kitchen to get the picture of water. (s--- is it picture of water? Or is it spelt differently?) Emma returned shortly and poured him the drink, she offered the a drink to anyone else who wanted it. She thought it was odd how she was a guest, yet she was serving. She blushed a little; her helpful side was taking over. -
oh dayum
yes very
it's pitcher xD
Mitchell thanked her gratefully, taking a sip of the water. He browsed over what foods he could choose from. He needed something healthy and beneficial. Layla liked a man with a define body, so no fatty foods or junk would be consumed by the man. -
*Poke poke pokey*
Yup
f---, see, I knew it.
In advanced language arts; cant spell for s---.
Veronica decided that she'd take a glass of water, and then she started to pick some food off of the table. She eyed Mitchell curiously, wondering what the man would do next. First he shows up in a jersey for a dinner party, then he gives them flowers? How odd.
Emma took her seat and she choose a small bit of food to eat. She found it odd, just a second ago she was sure she'd be able to eat everything on the table, but then she wasn't too hungry. -
"spelling has nothing to do with writing"
-my honors english teacher, mr. breitzman
Mitchell suddenly remembered that he had to take medication, but he hadn't brought any of it. He bit his lip, mentally cursing at himself. He assumed that missing one time wouldn't cause an outburst or set him off. He'd be okay.
He began to pick at and taste some of the food that was placed on the table, smiling happily. He hadn't had tasteful food in such a long time, so this was a nice occasion. -
I like your teacher.
Emma looked around the table. She waited for someone to start a conversation. She didn't know Mitchell, so she didn't know what he'd be interested in, in fact, the only person who really knew Mitchell well was Ronnie, and she didn't learn much about Mitchell from him.
Veronica began to eat. She certainly wasn't going to try and hold a conversation with Mitchell. She hardly knew the man, and he seemed to have bad manners. She couldn't get over the fact that he had worn a jersey out of all things to a dinner party.
(Geeze Veronica, calm down) -
i do too
(like damn)
Mitchell decided to pipe up, and, of course, directed his question towards Veronica. "So, Veronica, what made you decorate the house like you did?" The question seemed to give off a light and airy feeling, his voice in a type of cooing manner. He chewed a piece of lettuce from one of the trays.
Even though Ronnie knew exactly why, he thought that he would let Veronica explain the ocean theme. He smiled softly, thanking Mitchell for the question and looking towards hiw wife for the answer. -
Imma try and soap. Excuse me if I'm lacking more than usual.
Veronica cleared her throat, surprised by the question she was asked. "Oh, well, I've always been very fond of the ocean," She answered. "And I really love the colors and everything. Gives it a home like feeling."
Emma smiled, remembering how the ocean was like. When she was little, she wanted to be a swimmer, maybe go into the Olympics, but then she found a new love; dancing. She just loved dancing! -
Gurl is fine.
"That's a nice reason, then," he complimented, applauding her work in decorating. He picked out the small details that he found to be his favorite, but refrained from voicing his opinion, not wishing to be more of a bother.
Ronnie found Mitchell's manners to be quite good, actually, and couldn't help but smile. He watched his friend as he ate and looked around, and he felt nothing but joy. "How nice." -
Emma was pulled out of her daydreaming when Ronnie spoke up, and she thought that someone asked her a question. She became a little confused and asked Ronnie, "What's nice?"
-
Ronnie was becoming a softie at that point in time, "This. This is all so nice. I am so thankful to have you, Emma, and you, Mitchell with us tonight. I love you two like family." His eyes were soft and shining with his emotions as he spoke, with made Mitchell laugh. "Awe, Ronnie, dude, that's nice of you to say." Mitchell found this outburst of happiness to be enjoyable, and he ate the compliment up like it was a feast.
-
Emma couldn't help but heat up a little at Ronnie's comment. Her usually pale face turned a sort of crimson and she smiled down at her hands. "It is nice, isn't it?" she agreed while finally looking up from her hands and around at everyone else. She couldn't remember the last time she was invited to a party that wasn't full with drunks and horny people. She was glad for that moment of feeling like she belonged somewhere.
