Rapunziel shuffled his feet nervously at the idea of going outside of his safe place here. "I don't leave the tower," he explained, after shaking his head at the offer. "Father says it isn't safe."

"It is, if you're alone," Alton admitted, sighing. "But if you're with a group, you're pretty well defended. I have two other's back at camp. It would be perfectly safe with us, and I would love to have you along." He paused, grinning. "Come on, live a little."

"Mmm..." Rapunziel thought about it for a moment, thinking maybe it wouldn't be for the worse. "Alright, possibly. Is it far away? My father, he comes back in two days, and he won't be happy that I'm gone."

"..It won't take more than a day," He lied. It would take more than a week. However, he was sure some coin would help ease his father's mind, and that was something Alton wasn't lacking.

"If that's really it, then yes, I'd love to go," he agreed with a nod, and though he was still holding the sword, he had no intention of hiding it, especially because this person seemed pretty nice.

"..The rain's lightening up. We can go now, if you'd like. Do you have anything you wish to take?"

Realizing he'd have to pick at least something to take on a day trip, Rapunziel found he wasn't sure what one would need for being outside an entire day. He ended up hurrying to his window, and of course his little gecko, Pascal, was there, so he let the lizard cling to his hand. "Okay. Ready."

"..Okay. I'm traveling with a lizard. Cool. That's cool," In truth, he hated scaled animals, after being bit by a snake when he was young. And it didn't help that the witch who had cursed him had green skin, the same sickly green as the little animal he was traveling with.

Rapunziel went back over to the boy, holding out the sword to him. "Oh, Pascal is harmless. Unless you're a fly I think you'll be just fine."

"..Mhm." He took the sword belt back, putting it on, happy with the way it felt around his hips. It was is prized possession, really. "Let's go, shall we?"
(What if they have to go into another kingdom because the dragons had moved, and that kingdom ends up being Rapunziel's birth kingdom?) -
Rapunziel tucked the three silver coins into his pocket, letting Pascal scurry up his arm to nestle on his shoulder. He nodded, ready to go, then.

Alton stood, heading for the door that lead to the staircase. He opened it, giving Rapunziel a weak smile.

Rapunziel was already picking at his hair nervously when he approached the door, returning an unsure smile to the prince.

Alton lead the way down the stairs, and, after drawing his sword, opened the door that lead outside. It had stopped raining, and there was no sign of the ruffians.
