"And," he pursed his lips for a second. "... If you wanted to be more than friends, you'd tell me, right?" Antonio was fairly sure that he liked Lovino, not only as being his best friend, but also as someone that he really, really cared about.

Lovino quickly looked down again. "I-I...Dammit, that's not something you can just come out and say!" He protested. He hated himself, he had almost admitted that he did feel something for Antonio. Something more than just a friend would feel.

Antonio felt like maybe he'd thought wrong about what Lovino might have been feeling, and so he paled, stuttering, "I just- I just wanted to make sure you knew you could be comfortable around me and you can always tell me anything that you need to tell me."

Lovino wanted to dissapear when he noticed how much he'd panicked Antonio. "I-I didn't mean...I'm sorry, I just..." He stammered for a moment, trying to figure out what to say. "I don't think anyone would ever feel that way about me, so it doesn't matter." He said quietly.

He was a little relieved that Lovino hadn't outright denied him yet, so he pushed on. "But if someone did like you then would you like them back?"

"Well...There is one person..." He admitted. He didn't mention any names. Antonio probably didn't feel the same way about him, so he didn't want to make the situation any worse.

"Who is it?" Antonio asked, his heart racing, hoping to God that it wouldn't be someone else. He wanted the very best for Lovino, and he would be pretty jealous if it wasn't him.

Lovino was certain he'd never been so embarrased before in his life. There was no he could just say it, but...maybe there was another way to show Antonio. He steeled himself and leaned up, pressing his lips against Antonio's in a silent kiss.

Antonio couldn't of said that he'd expected Lovino to kiss him, but he wasn't too slow to react. He held down a smile, instead returning the kiss and wrapping an arm around his room mate's torso.

Lovino soon pulled away, blushing scarlet. He grimaced in hesitant anticipation, waiting for Antonio to ask what was wrong with him or tell him how much he hated him now.

Antonio looked at Lovino for a second, then grinned widely. "I knew you liked me, Lovi!" He belted, happier than ever before. "That was so cute, you kissed me!"

Lovino stared at him in shock for a moment, before finally reacting. "W-Well?" He stuttered, still blushing deeply. Antonio looked happy enough, but he hadn't said anything about how he felt..

Antonio laughed softly at how nervous Lovino seemed. "I really like you. You're my best friend, but I really like you too."

Lovino let out a long sigh of relief. "...Good." He mumbled, giving Antonio a rare thing- a smile. It was brief and small, but it was there.

Antonio smile, which had been lingering on his lips for a while, widened into a grin again. He tugged Lovino into him with one arm, hugging the Italian against his chest. "You're too cute, Lovi."
