"I know it's okay," he replied, then pulled her up and ran off to hide deeper in the garden. They ducked behind a large bush as the servant started to wander around, searching for him.
-
She laughed lightly as she ran to keep up with him and covered her mouth a bit, trying not to have the servant hear her. She glanced at im for a moment, holding his hand as she waited quietly.
-
He smiled at her as they waited, then pulled her up and ran toward one of the trees in the center of the garden. Since most of the plants were tall and it was getting dark, the servant didn't notice. He allowed her to climb up first, as he had been taught to do.
-
She climbed up carefully, still trying to contain her laughter as she sat on a branch a few feet from the ground. She gave him a teasing look as she climb a bit higher.
-
He followed, grinning up at her. The servant gave one final call then headed inside, leaving the two alone.
-
She grinned right back at him and saw the servant disappear from the garden. "Well that was fun." She looked at him and chuckled a bit. "I remember when we used to do that with our parents...."
-
He nodded. "I still do it with mine." Then again, did she consider them his parents as much as he did? He climbed a bit higher, then looked out over the garden.
-
She huffed lightly and climbed up after him. "Well with Estada I had to grow up fast." She blinked a bit and glanced around at the garden. "She wanted me to be ready for war. I dealt with not being able to enjoy my childhood."
-
He frowned. "Speaking of Estada, your accent... it's changed a bit. It sounds more like hers now." He paused before suggesting they work to change it.
-
She huffed playfully at him and patted his head. "Well being away for a long time does do that to you." She sighed and let some of her hair fall into her face. "Also t made me forget about what happened."
-
"I could help you with that. The first part, I mean," he murmured. As soon as he'd arrived at the palace, he was launched into a lengthy series of linguistics lessons so that his speech fit his position. She was nowhere as bad as they'd been, but could still benefit from a few classes.
-
She rolled her eyes lightly and shook her head. "I'm fine. I like my accent." She mumbled a bit under her breath
