Tony gave the man a skeptical look. Why do you care what happens to me?
-
Syriel thought. "I feel like you deserve it. You didn't deserve any of this to happen to you, so I'm going to fix it."
-
Tony grinned. You're weird. He nodded to him and shifted, trying to sit up a bit more in the stark white hospital bed. Thank you.
-
Syriel grinned. "Better than being normal. And you're welcome." He raised an eyebrow. "If you wanna sit up, there's a button on the side."
-
Tony shook his head and shifted around a bit more, finding a comfortable upright position. He wanted to prove that he could at least sit up on his own. He was n't completely helpless. When can I leave? No offense, but I'm not a big fan of hospitals..
-
Syriel nodded. "Well, my shift is over soon, we can leave then."
-
Tony grinned happily and nodded eagerly. He was sick of the chemical smell of the hospital, and the doctors, who- all except for Syriel- seemed very cold and harsh.
-
Syriel looked at his watch. "Well, my shift is over in about fifteen minutes, so what should we do until then...?"
-
Tony shrugged, then gestured to an old tv moniter hooked up to the wall. He grabbed a remote and held it out to Syriel with a little smile.
-
"TV, huh? Okay, let's see what's on..." he turned it on and started flipping through channels. "Hmm... NCIS? It's a murder mystery show."
-
Tony nodded and smiled. These kinds of things always intrigued him. He settled back into the bed and fixed his eyes on the screen.
-
Selecting the show, Syriel settled down into a chair next to Tony's bed, quickly catching up on the plot and following the story.
-
Tony watched with interest, although his enthusiasm decreased as they got more into detail about the murder case. Seeing the body on the screen...even though he knew that blood was fake, it reminded him of the man on the stretcher. The one bleeding real blood. The one dying. He shuddered.
-
Soon enough, fifteen minutes passed, and Syriel's wrist watch beeped. "Oh! Well, my shift is over. I can give you a couple minutes to get ready to go, if you want."
-
Tony shook his head and jotted down another message. All my stuff's here, I'm ready to go whenever you are.
