Thread Topic: Oh look another soap thread.
-
It was an average morning. The sky was fairly overcast, and Demi and another one of the thieves had a big mission for the day. She dressed, the only one in the battered, ancient shack. Being one of the main providers for most of those living there, she was allowed her own room, on the top floor. She yawned as she pulled on her tattered shoes.
-
He looked down at his clothes and sighed. A light grey v-neck tshirt and camo pants. Those wouldn't stay clean for long, and neither would he. All his parent's money was given away to the government, so he couldn't buy anything new. He felt like they were treating him like trash, exiling him to live in that miserable pit of a district, with just a backpack full of belongings to survive with.
-
She was careful to avoid the creaky spots of the old floorboards. As she crept downstairs, as most of the children were probably going to sleep soon. She was almost completely nocturnal, it seemed, since it was the best time to steal anything.

The train stopped in the middle of the district. The train door slid open, and he stepped out into the street. It smelled like rotten fruit and despair. "Good luck, kid." the driver mumbled, before shutting the door and taking off.
-
The blonde grabbed her baggy coat, which she'd left by the door to dry. Combined with her binding her chest, which she did to avoid any potential violations if she were caught, she looked more like a boy. She was greeted by the sunset as she stepped outside, and shoved her hands in her pockets as she walked.
-
Calen took in his surroundings. The district was hardly colorful, everything looked like it was old and covered in dirt. People where huddled in corners, wearing shaggy clothes. Some of them looked like they hadn't bathed in weeks. She wrinkled his nose up in disgust as he walked along the street. How could anyone live like this?
-
Demi walked quickly and with purpose, not bothering to look at anyone. She vaguely recognized most of them, since the lowest class had to group together as much as they could. She'd be meeting the other thief near the town center in a few minutes. That is, if the police didn't chase them away first.
-
He got occasion glares from the peasants as he walked, trying to find a nice enough looking building to spend the night in. He didn't want to touch anything. Everything felt...dirty.
-
There was a fountain in the center of the meeting place, though most of it was crumbling and rusted, since it hadn't been used for years. She sat on the least crumbled part and waited, trying not to attract the attention of anyone wealthy enough to go after her.
-
He walked until he stumbled upon a fountain, the only nicer looking thing that he had seen since he left the train, although it was still beat up a bit.
-
She tapped her foot patiently, and watched as a young man, probably a year or two older than her, approached the fountain. She wasn't sure who she'd be working with this time, and this man could very well be him. "Do you have the time?" she asked as he walked by, knowing that his answer would indicate whether or not he was her partner.
-
He glared down at the small figure infront of him. She had a long scar across half of her freckled face. "Peasant...." he scoffed.
-
She looked over his clothing, and the fact that he had a backpack that appeared to be full. They were probably his everyday items, and the fact that he took them for granted bothered her more than the way one of the officers was looking at the two of them. "Maybe, but at least I'm not a stuck up fool from one of the upper districts." She glared at him, noticing how he'd looked at her scar.
-
"I'd rather be a stuck up fool from the districts than be one of you." he rebuttled.
