Eren held back a happy sigh as Levi moved closer to him. He continued to watch the captain. As the captain said something, he frowned, straining to hear what he said. At first, the brunette thought that he could hear him saying 'Eren'. But he was quick to feel disappointment when he finished whining and said 'Erwin'. The teen frowned, attempting to pull his hand away. It was then that he saw Levi burry his face into the pillow. "Hey.. What's so wrong about crying? Don't tell me you think it's called being weak."
(Eren: Nuuu~! And that's good. *nuzzle*
shhhh) -
(Eren... ;3; )
"There's nothing wrong with crying. But there is something wrong with crying in front of your subordinates. Captains..are supposed to be strong leaders that can control themselves and their emotions...Not once have I allowed anyone that is not my superior see me like this.." The older bit his lower lip and pushed his face further into the pillow. He also realized he was still holding Eren's hand and immediately let go.
(Levi: ... *hugs tight* My little pest..) -
Eren's eyes widened as he listened to the captain explain further. He put his now free hand on Levi's back, a sad look in his gaze. He felt disappointed to hear that he wasn't the first to see his captain cry. But it made him wonder.. If he muttered Erwin's name, and if he said that not anyone but his superior saw him like this, then did that mean that Erwin and Levi slept like this all of the time? He rolled off of the bed, standing up. Without another word, he fled the room, heading for anywhere but where Levi was.
(Eren: *hums~*) -
(Levi so cute~)
Levi relaxed a bit when he felt a comforting hand on his back, and he shifted to peek up at the younger, desperately wanting to confide in him. But before he could get out a single word, Eren was climbing out of bed and hurriedly leaving the room. He didn't know why, but it hurt to be left by the younger. Levi's chest became tight, and he pushed his face back into the pillow gripping the bed sheets tightly. His emotions were out of control.
(Levi: *leans on and yawns*) -
(Levi's always cute okay)
Eren took no time in sneaking out of the building and making his way to the walls. He wanted to sit on top of them and stare down at the titans before the sunset drove them somewhat away. He didn't care if people would freak out and start searching for him. The brunette needed time to think. When he reached the top of the wall, he sat on a ledge, gazing down at a lone titan. His mind was racing. Why did he feel so jealous? What was this feeling that was threatening to tear him apart? Licking his lower lip, the teenager silently put his chin in his hand, letting his mind wander. He sat there for a long time, thinking deeply. He hadn't realized it, but his body was leaning towards the edge, threatening to send him tumbling to his death. When he realized it, he scrambled away, sitting on much safer ground. What was happening to him?
(Eren: *cuddle snuggle huggle*) -
Levi spent a lot time alone before the commotion about Eren's disappearance was finally heard by him. The older figured the worst and hurried as best as his injury would allow him. Many of his comrades tried to stop him, told him they'd find Eren, but the captain knew better than them. He knew exactly where the young titan shifter had gone, and as much as it strained him to get there, Levi would find him and drag him back if he had to.
(Levi: *blushes and cuddles*) -
Eren tried out different sitting and lying positions as he thought deeper about the topic. Things like What is Levi's relationship with Erwin? or Does Levi have an issue with the way I act? Each new question brought up more and more. Soon, his head was throbbing with the pain of trying to pinpoint one hing to ponder about. He laid down onto the space, sprawling himself out. The evening night was fading to the pretty darkness. Many different stars started to appear as it got darker. He folded his hands behind his head, gazing up at the sky. A new question emerged. Does Levi like the stars? Before Eren could question anything any further, he realized that he saw something down below on the side that was full of all of the buildings out of the corner of his eye. Startled, he peered over the edge, gazing downwards. "Who's there?"
(Eren: I love you~) -
Levi wanted the past to remain in the past. As hard as it was to forget, he still tried. He tried to push those memories as far back as possible, but he was an idiot and let his emotions get the better of him. Eren probably knew or figured out things that he shouldn't have known. Not now anyway because they weren't as important as they had been. The captain carefully made his way up the side of the wall in the darkness, the pain throbbing through his leg with every step. Upon reaching the top, he lost his footing and collapsed, hissing a bit from the injury. "Damn it..."
(Levi: I..love you, too...) -
Eren watched the person make their way up to the top. When he finally saw who it was, he was already up and running over. "C-Captain! What are you doing up here? You're supposed to be resting in bed..!" The younger kneeled down by the injured male, a worried look in his eyes. He felt guilty. Guilty that he caused Levi to come all the way out here to get him. It was practically all his fault. But he did feel happy that the captain worried about him. He leaned over Levi, staring down at him. "Are you okay?"
(Eren: ..How much?) -
"You idiot...I know I should be in bed, but I can't let you go off on your own like this, at this hour." The older tried to stand but was struggling to do so. He wanted to forget, he wanted Eren to forget. Yet another side of him wanted to explain everything, so the younger wouldn't fret over it, but Levi found it to be the most difficult thing in the world. He reached out for Eren's help and support to stand, hell he wouldn't have minded being carried back. He shot a glare at the brunette. "Do I look okay to you?"
(Levi: A lot.) -
Eren shivered as he looked away from Levi's stare. That had been a stupid question, but he didn't have to respond so cruelly. "No.. Sorry, sir.." The brunette helped the older get up. He looked up at the stars. "I guess I'll be in trouble when I get back, won't I? I'm sorry. I know you already took me outside earlier, but.. I just needed a little bit of time alone." He looked at Levi's face. He had a little idea in mind. "Do you think we can stay out here for a while longer? I'll clean anything you want. I promise. Just.. Let me stay here to finish what I started. Please." Never before had Eren pleaded for something so trival. He normally didn't care about things outside. But the many events that had happened only fueled his curiosity more. The Titan shifter wanted to know so much more than what little info he had been given.
(Eren: Really? *blush*) -
"You better be sorry.." Levi mumbled and shifted his weight when Eren helped him up. The younger was too cute when he pleaded for things, even though the captain would always say how annoying he was. The brunette was a pest, but he at least did what he was told most of the time. He held on to the younger to keep from falling over and let out a sigh. "I guess...I don't see what's so great about being outside at night. Most of the titans have gone off to rest, or whatever it is they do at night, but if you're willing to clean up the entire base tomorrow, that's fine by me. You'd better get up when I tell you to in the morning, too." Now that Levi thought about it, there were more stars out than usual. It was a perfect clear night. That's what Eren must've wanted to do; Look at the stars while he had the chance.
(Levi: I wouldn't say it if I didn't mean it, brat.) -
Eren beamed when he heard the captain's approval. He moved back to his little perch on the wall, gazing up at the sky. After a minute or so, he turned to Levi, a grin wide on his face. "I won't let you down, sir! You can wake me up whenever, and.. I'll do my best to clean the best." He looked away from the older male, gazing up happily at the stars. It occurred to him that the last time he had done this (properly, anyways) was with Mikasa and Armin when they were younger. And they had been sitting on the cold ground. This was a much better perch than any old box. He held out a hand, pretending to squish a star between his fingers. He held back childish giggles as he did this several times to many different stars. He enjoyed the scenery just as much as he enjoyed Levi's company. When he was finished playing his game, he turned once more to look at the captain. "Have you ever spent this much time looking at the stars? What do you think about them?"
(Eren: I'm not a braaaaaaaaat. -
"Every time you say you won't, you do. I wonder why I keep giving you all these chances to prove yourself. Maybe because we started off similarly. Except I'm just a man where as you're a boy who can tranform into humanity's worst enemy." Levi told him as he found a good position to sit in that didn't bother him. He peered up at the stars, his eyes shining for the first time in what felt like an eternity. The orbs turned attention to Eren, watching him 'squish' stars between his fingers. How childishly adorable of him. The captain's cheeks flushed, and he immediately looked away. He was startled when the younger broke the silence with question. "I like stars. They're like guides of the night..and there's so many different shapes that they form when together. And to be honest, I haven't had time to do this for years."
(Levi: Yes, you are. My brat.) -
"Well.. I didn't choose to be able to transform like I do.. So don't think of me like that, please. I'm just your comrade working for the same goal." Eren responded in a pleasant tone, his eyes still transfixed on the sky above. He didn't pay any attention to the way Levi looked at the stars, nor did he pay attention when Levi looked at him as he played his little game. He did, however, notice that the captain turned his head away. He didn't comment on it and kept his gaze on the sky. "Aren't you glad, then, that I forced you to let me sit here? If you haven't seen them like this for years, it's probably good that I got you out here. It's relaxing." The teenager shifted his weight around, closing his eyes for a moment. "I'd do this more often if I could. Looking at the stars reminds me that there's beauty behind all of this madness. It reminds me that the titans can't take all of the good things we have in this world. And it makes me feel like I can still call myself a human."
(Eren: I'm your brat?)
