"I never said that was how I thought of you. Since everyone knows about you, that's their initial thoughts of you. That you could transform at any time and kill us all. But you don't just transform out of the blue, you need a reason. We've established that." Levi was disappointed that Eren didn't give even a quick glance. It hurt a bit. One moment he's excited to see his captain and wants nothing more than to help, then the next he's clearly ignoring the older for whatever reason. "You didn't force me to do anything. You're still going to get up at the crack of dawn and clean until it's black outside." Levi furrowed his brow, no longer looking at the sky and its many little specs of light. "It's hard to relax when your leg keeps throbbing. And you sure do say that about a lot of things, that they make you feel human. But I guess that's alright. Whatever floats your boat." The older yawned and struggled to get up, finally managing to stand awkwardly. "I'm going back. Don't stay out here too late."
(Levi: Yup. My brat.) -
Eren finally looked over at the older male, a surprised look on his face. He had always thought that Levi thought of him that way. He had assumed that everyone thought of him as some monster, that no one apart from Armin and Mikasa really believed in him. He had thought wrong. As Levi 'defended' him, he blushed, turning to look away at the dark outline of the world beyond the walls. He had yet another thing to add to what he had learned about his captain just today. A small scowl took over his face as Levi told him how long he'd be cleaning. Maybe it wasn't worth it to ask.. Too late to back out now! The brunette had started to daze off. It wasn't until Levi spoke again did he turn and look at the captain once more. He really only wanted to be wherever Levi was. He stood up, taking the captain's hand. "I don't think you're warning will be necessary. Let's go back."
(Eren: *proud coos*) -
Levi could tell that the other was starting to understand his attitude a bit more. The captain had to be blunt and cold most of the time, it made him more trustworthy and honest. He never really liked to keep to himself when it came to his opinions, but when it came to anything personal, he stayed pretty tightly packed in his shell. The less people who knew of his past, the less weaknesses they could find. He hid his pink face as the brunette came over and grabbed a hold of his hand. Eren was so warm. Probably because he was a titan shifter. The older nodded lightly and gently nudged the other forward. "All right then, you can jump for both of us. Less stress on my injury if you're supporting most, if not all, of my weight the whole time."
(Levi: My c---y brat. *tease*) -
Eren moved, wrapping one of his arms around Levi's waist. It wasn't the most practical way to get down the wall, but it would help him support the captain without toppling over himself. Slowly, the brunette shuffled over to the edge of the wall, the tips of his boots just barely handing off. "Do you mind me holding you like this, or would you rather.. I uh.." A light, rosy blush covered his face as he hinted that he could hold Levi bridal style. Luckily, it was dark, and so he knew that it wasn't that visible. "Whichever would help your injury best, I'll try it."
(finally has response
throws a party) -
"Whichever works best for you.." The captain's voice drifted and he shifted his eyes in the opposite direction of his subordinate. He wouldn't mind being held by the younger, but if anyone saw them...His face lit up with the thought of the embarrassment, and he lowered his head a bit to keep Eren from seeing him.
-
Slightly relieved, Eren decided to shift the current position to a better one. He moved a hand down, swinging the older's legs up into the air to hold him up similar to the way a groom carries a bride. The position was still slightly awkward, but it would support Levi's weight, and it wouldn't hurt him at all. Without a moment to lose, the younger pushed his feet off, sending them falling off the wall. Before they could crash into the roof off a house, he used the gear to latch onto some walls and glide towards the ground with ease. This was the best part about being in the scouts- the fun of using the maneuver gear. Eren loved the feeling of flying. It was far better than being a titan, in any case.
-
Levi cringed at how quickly he was scooped up by his subordinate and wanted o hide his face in embarrassment of the position he was being held in. But he didn't because it'd be more embarrassing for someone to catch him feeling embarrassed. Seems legit, right? Therefore, the captain did his best to act like nothing was wrong and that Eren was doing his best to keep him from feeling extra pain. But the look on his face said everything. His normally dull and neutral stare was always altered in some way when it came to the younger. As of right now, he admired Eren's youth, how excited he was just to feel a bit of wind rush through his hair from the use of maneuver gear.
-
Eren didn't pay any attention to Levi's face because he was focused on the homes in front of him. He did, however, think it'd be nice to break the silence. The brunette always spoke to people like Armin when they went out with the gear, and it was nice knowing there was company up in the air. "Say, sir? Why did you come to get me? Like I said before, you're supposed to be resting.. Everyone else could have come. And I bet if they hadn't, I would have returned.." In his mind, he knew he wouldn't have. The younger boy was still bothered by the thoughts about Erwin. He wasn't sure why, but he felt his skin boiling when he thought of the other captain. The image of Levi sleeping, muttering the blonde's name popped up in his head. His chest tightened at the memory. Whatever was between Levi and Erwin, Eren swore he'd find out.
