"2...3 days maybe?" She said.

"Here's here, all right." Slender Man stood up, seeming to hunch over a bit. "Listen up. I need two teams, one to stay with this young one and protect her, the other to investigate and ask the townspeople if they've also seen or heard strange things. Ben, Jack, you two will be the investigators. Jeff, Masky, you two will protect and follow her. I'll have to head back to our world to inform King Smile of our situation." Jeff grumbled. "Why do I have to pair with this loser, and protect her?" S.M said, "Because he'll be able to calm her, and you have the most combat experience out of all my proxies." He opened up a portal. "Everyone, don't forget to use your Earth disguises. I'll be back soon." He walked through the portal and it disappeared after he went through it.

"I still don't understand why i have to be protected." She grumbled. But she just sighed. "Well, what now?"

"That's because you've seen us and are still alive. Zalgo wouldn't attack you if you had died or hadn't seen us. He'll be sending his henchmen to kill you because he doesn't like loose ends, he doesn't want you to speak about us to other humans." Masky tried to explain it as simply as he could, while Jeff grabbed his knife. "Whatever, let's get going..."

"Oh..." She said. McKenzie was still on the ground. She tried to get up, but it was hard with a twisted ankle.

Masky helped her up. "I'm really sorry about earlier. Jeff can be... really cruel when he wants to be." He watched as Ben and Jack put their human costumes on. Ben looked like a short, normal kid with long blond hair and green eyes, while Jack looked like a tall, pale human with medium length black hair and red eyes. After a second, they left to investigate. Jeff came running over with a clean white sweater on, and short brown hair and soul piercing blue eyes. "Let's go, dork." He said hastily.

"How do you guys deal with him?" She said to Masky before Jeff came over.

"We usually ignore him." Masky said matter-of-factly. He helped her walk. "Which way is your house?"

"Just follow the path out of the forest, then take a right. I'll lead the way after that." She said.

Masky followed her instructions, while Jeff walked a good distance behind them. After a while, they were out of the forest.

"Good thing I brought my key with me." She said. "Follow me." She then lead the way to here house. Once they got there she unlocked the door and walked in.

They followed, but when she went in, Jeff didn't follow. "I'll stay out here, look around.." He wandered around the building. Masky followed her in the house. "Do you have a med kit?"

"Yeah, why?" She asked.

"Your ankle isn't looking too good." Masky said. "I figure that now you are inside your home, you are safer than you would be outside. Now would be the ideal time to patch you up."
