Aurora watched as Haven exited the Wire Room. "Haven, have you noticed that the scientists have been acting sorta strange lately?"
The scientists have been attending more meetings lately. And most of the guards were missing.
(I'm thinking about starting this with a huge explosion in a few posts. >:3) -
Oooh, sounds awesome~)
Haven nodded. "Isn't it odd? I think something must be going on... and they're not telling us." -
Aurora nodded. Just then, a loud boom echoed through the room. It was followed by another one which caused a large explosion in the wall. Flames made the room hot in seconds. A siren rang above the chaos. Men with strange clothes rushed forward and began putting out the fire.
An announcement began, "Everyone, please standby in a nearby room. Repeat, please standby in a nearby room."
Aurora nodded again, "Definitely something they're not telling us." -
Haven nodded. "Definitely. Let's get into a room." She said, looking around. Seeing as the nearest room was the Wire Room, she flung the door open and dashed in, holding the door for Aurora.
-
She was a bit reluctant to step into that room for a second time today, but she went into the room anyway. Surprisingly, there was no one else in the room. Everyone left the room for some reason.
-
Halfway closing the door, Haven turned. She shuddered. "I hate this room..." she mumbled. Speaking up, she asked, "What do you think they're hiding?"
-
She shrugged, sitting down in a corner. "I don't know. I can't guess that it's anything good, though..."
-
Haven nodded. "Especially if there are explosions." She sat down against the door, shutting it fully.
-
"Yep. Explosions usually don't mean anything good," Aurora mumbled.
An announcement came on a few seconds later. "All personnel and supernaturals please report to the indoor training facility. Repeat, please report to the indoor training facility."
"There's so much going on," Aurora said quietly, standing up. -
Haven nodded, standing and opening the door. "I don't like this..." She started, trailing off into her thoughts as she began to walk to the training facility.
-
Aurora quickly walked to catch up to Haven. "What do you think they want us for?" She asked, trying her hardest to hide her fear, but failing.
-
Haven rolled her eyes. "Probably some more cryptic stuff that's not going to give us any answers." She said as they reached the facility. Pushing the door open, she strolled in.
-
Aurora walked in after Haven. A few others walke in after them. After a minute, a man walked onto a short pedestal in front of everyone.
"Hello everyone. I understand that you must be scared right now, but I assure you that you will be fine... for now. Anyway, the reason I have called you all here is that I have an announcement to make. The Supernaturals in this facility will be fighting alongside the military."
For a moment it was silent. Like all the sound had been deleted. Then the room erupted in angry shouts and fearful murmurs.
"T-the military? We'll be fighting!?" Aurora breathed, her eyes wide. -
Haven grit her teeth. "First, they treat us like dogs and objects, and now we're weapons?! I don't think so. They can't make me fight." She started defiantly, crossing her arms.
-
The man raised his hands to try to calm the crowd. "Please settle down. I know what you're thinking. 'Why are we fighting?' or 'You can't make me fight.' But I'm sure you all remember the drink we had you all drink when you first arrived here. It contained a microscopic machine that contains a tracker and a device that can kill you. We do not wish to kill you, so we're asking for your cooperation."
The crowd quieted down, but there was now an aura of dread resonating from everyone.
