Blaze staredd at the little girl in confusion. Didn't her parents teach her that that was rude? He looked over the still-bandaged tail. "Is your tail okay, Amaretto? I could make her leave..." he whispered to Amaretto, concern for the injury filling his voice.
-
Amaretto grimaced a bit. "She just-- ow--" He would feel bad to make the girl let go, because she seemed to be enjoying holding his tail with one hand and petting it with the other. She couldn't have been more than four. There was a woman standing a few feet away, but she wasn't paying any attention to the girl.
"Kitty has a boo-boo," she cooed, looking at the wrap around the tail. -
Blaze leaned down to the little girl. "Yes, he does. You can pet his tail, but please be very very careful." He said kindly with a small smile. When it seemed that the little girl had loosened her grip, he straightened. "Is that better or does it still hurt?"
-
Amaretto sighed in relief when the girl became more gentle, only softly stroking his tail. In the mean time, he pointed to a blue tag with white paw prints on it, that had a matching collar. "That one?"
-
"Sure." Blaze said. "Do you just want your name on it?" He picked up the collar and tag, examining the nice design.
-
"We've gotta put your's on it too. And your address. In case I get lost," Amaretto stated. He looked behind him when he heard the girl's mom shout.
"Oh my goodness-- Ashley! You do not touch those!" She rushed forward, picking the girl up. In one hand, she was holding a carrier, with a little non-hybrid kitten in it. Grimacing first at Amaretto, then turning to Blaze, she snarled. "Your science experiment needs to stay away from my child." -
Blaze got angry, gripping the collar tightly. "Amaretto is not a science experiment, he is a living, breathing, human being who has feelings. If anyone needs to stay away, it's you who needs to keep their bad attitude away from younger children. Children have enough bad role models these days, and they certainly don't need another!"
-
"If he was a human being, he would not have a tail. It's unatural, and he needs to be put down." Amaretto whimpered, tears welling in his eyes. It seemed Blaze really was the only nice human. The little girl seemed equally upset, trying to reach out to touch Amaretto's cat ears. When Amaretto, simply out of courtesy for the little girl, leaned forward to give her a chance to pet him, the woman set the kitten carrier down and pointed at finger in his face. "Don't you dare."
-
"Did you know that every human is formed with a tail? Acids burns it away in the womb. So really, he's just been graced with extra abilities that you should be looking up to. You are just a normal person with not one good quality about you. It's a shame, because your daughter is a beautiful, sweet little girl and doesn't deserve to have a mother who can't even respect and gosh darn living thing on the planet. If anyone deserves to be "put down", it's you for your lack of respect towards life." Blaze leaned forward and covered the little girls ears. "This little girl is like a ball of sunshine here. Amaretto may be a cat, but you're a dog, b----."
(I actually got really mad at this fake woman when typing this... is that bad? Also it's ironic that I'm using the account for Felicity, seeing as she's a neko...) -
(Omfg I created her and I'm mad at her xD
But your response oh my god he owned her)
Amaretto stayed quiet, listening to the exchange. The lady gasped at the last sentence, picking her cat carrier back up. "Fine, have fun with your science experiment while I appreciate what nature gave to me-- without and test tubes." -
(Yup. I'm glad. She is a b----, in my opinion.)
Blaze took his hands off the girls ears. "Nature probably gave you nothing. I would bet my life that everything you have came from surgeries, dyes, and makeup. And lemme tell you, it ain't pretty." He grabbed Amaretto's hand before smiling at the little girl. "Have a nice day, sunshine." He walked away, pulling Amaretto along. "God, I hate woman." He said to Amaretto. "They're all fake and disrespectful. Are you okay?" -
Amaretto, with his free hand, waved goodbye to the little girl, while the mother looked pale and shocked. Once they were away from the two, the hybrid wiped tears away from his eyes. "Mn... Did I do something wrong? I didn't hurt the little girl..."
-
"No, you didn't do anything. She was just a bad person. About twenty five percent of the world is made up of bad people." Blaze stated. He softened. "Hey, don't cry. You're better than she will ever be." He said softly, gazing at Amaretto with a slightly concerned look.
-
Amaretto held his breath for a moment, trying his best to homd down any tears. "She was mean. I don't want to be put down." He sniffled, holding tightly onto Blaze's hand.
-
"You are never going to be put down. End of story." Blaze said as they approached the cashier. He told the cashier what to engrave on the tag and paid for it and the collar, stepping to the side to wait for the engraving to be finished.
