Blaze smiled, but it wasn't genuine. "Uh... would you like to get out of the box? I have plenty of seats in my car..." he paused. "And a heater, too. I don't use it often, but you look like you need it." He said, studying the poor creature. "What kind of person would do this to you...?" he mumbled under his breath.
-
Amaretto sniffled; partly because he was still crying, and partly because he was starting to get a cold. Finally he nodded, maneuvering to stand up. His tail was now fully visible; a big, poofy thing that matched the color of his hair. Wiping his nose with his sleeve, he stepped out of the box with his feet hitting the cold ground. He'd only been wearing his socks, so without waiting for the man to show him to the car he scrambled over to it, opening the back door and climbing in.
-
Blaze smiled, turning on the heater. "If you get uncomfortable, you can move up to the front, just so you know." He said. He hated cruelty towards any creature in this manner. Abuse was a terrible thing. He slipped into the drivers seat, turning on the car and driving down the road.
-
Amaretto nodded, still staying quiet as he laid down on his side in the back seat row. He used his tail as a sort of blanket over top of his legs, while he simply curled up to accommodate the rest of him. As the car slowly warmed up, he closed his eyes, waiting for whatever home he was going to now.
-
Blaze pulled into his driveway. Moving to the back, where the little hybrid was, he didn't said, "We're here." He opened the door while saying it, hoping the hybrid was warm enough on the drive.
-
Darn autocorrect! Now I can't even fix it cause I've forgotten what it was meant to say!)
-
Amaretto peeked his eyes open, looking out the door at the one holding it open. He slowly got up, dropping out of the vehicle and rushing up to the house. He waited at the front door, alternating which foot he stepped on to try and keep them warm.
-
(That's alright xD)
-
Blaze walked up to the door, as fast as he could without running. He unlocked the door, throwing the lights and the heater on.
(I've g2g, it's late here. Continue in the morning?) -
Amaretto held his arms around himself, shuffling inside. He wasn't sure what to do for a moment. There was a couch in the room they'd entered in, that had a blanket draped over the back, so he went straight to the blanket, pulling it around his shoulders. After this, he against paused to look around. He couldn't see anything even vaguely cat-related. No lumps of worn out yarn, no scratching post, not even a cushy cat bed. He looked at Blaze, mumbling, "Is there something I can eat?" He asked. He hoped for something like a can of cat food, but it didn't seem likely he'd have that here.
(Sure! Nighty night~) -
Blaze thought for a second. "Yeah, what do you like?" He want sure whether the hybrid ate human food or not... but he was glad that the hybrid had spoken. Midnight was in the back house, but if the hybrid only ate cat food Blaze was sure she wouldn't mind sparing a can or two.
-
Amaretto shifted his feet, wondering if he should even bother to ask for cat food. At least, he thought, this man hadn't yelled at him yet. "Uhm.. I usually have cat food... Do you have tuna?"
-
Blaze nodded. So the hybrid ate cat food. He smiled. "Follow me." He led the hybrid to the back area, which he liked to call 'Cat Central'. Midnight practically owned the place. Speaking of Midnight, the black cat walked up to the hybrid, examining him curiously. Blaze leaned down. "Hey Midnight. This is...uh..." he paused. "What's your name?"
-
Amaretto obediantly followed, staying just a few steps behind him. He held the blanket over his shoulders with one hand, his other occupied by his nervous habit of tucking hair in different positions around his left ear. When the cat approached him, he looked down at it, his ears poiting forward in interest. "Amaretto," he said, pointing with a finger to indicate the collar and tag still around his neck.
-
"Hmm. Amaretto... it has a nice ring to it. Would you like that collar off? It looks terribly uncomfortable." Blaze said. He wanted the hybrid- Amaretto, was his name- to be as comfortable as possible. "If you want to leave it on, that's okay..."
