I gasped when I saw the ferris wheel. "Wow..." I trailed off in awe. It was lit up, and it was indeed beautiful. -
I hesitated, taking a moment to admire the ever-changing light patterns that flashed across the ride. Then I started up again, pulling Indie into one of the carriages with me.

I was in awe as we sat in a carriage. The ride started to move, and I looked over the edge. Staring at the ground, my head started to pound. I sat back quickly, putting my hands to my temples. "Okay, not a good idea to look over the edge."

I frowned pulled Indie down to sit next to me. I gently wrapped her in a hug and kissed her forehead. "Just wait till we get to the top, then look. The view is amazing."

I nodded. "It must be pretty. With all the rides lit up, I mean." I smiled at him. "Thank you, for, you know, today."

I nodded and pulled her a little closer. "Yeah. And you're welcome, although it's only fair that you have the best late birthday present ever."

I snuggled into his chest. "Only the best day of my whole life." I murmured. Slowly the ride moved further and further to the top.

When we got to the top I grabbed her and stood up in the carriage. "Look!" I pointed down at the boardwalk, which was aglow with different lights. It was amazing.

"Wow..." I said, looking at all the different lights. "It's amazing. I've never seen anything like it." I smiled, placing my hands on the edge of our carriage and leaning out slightly.

I grinned and leaned out with her, admiring the glowing display. I leaned over and softly kissed her on the cheek. "Happy birthday Indie."

I flushed a light pink, before saying "The happiest by far." Just then, I reached down to my phone and turned on my music, and ironically, Best Day of My Life by American Authors started to play. As the familiar music started, I reached out my free hand, grabbing ahold of Caleb's.

I leaned onto Caleb, feeling the slight breeze bring in salty air. "Caleb?" I said suddenly.

I glanced down at her, wrapping an arm around her shoulders. "Yeah?"

I closed my eyes, snuggling into his side. "I love you." I stated softly. And I meant it. It wasn't a crush, and I didn't just like him... I loved him.
