Arcelio woke with the same first response; to search the bed aimlessly with his hands until he found there was no Rayson there. He groaned, sitting up and slipping out of bed. He'd gotten up rather early, around six in the morning. He didn't want to wake the little girl up, as she would be loud and wake up everyone else, so he went straight to Daniel's room, tears already in his eyes as he softly knocked.
-
Arcelio set his jaw, shaking his head. He wouldn't be so upset if only Rayson had at least told him what time he'd be back. For all he knew, Rayson could have been kidnapped, or worse. "Has he got a cell phone?"
-
(oh my god Arcelio is gonna be pissed)
Arcelio sighed at first at the sound of the truck, then remembered it might not be Rayson. "Don't leave your room," he told Daniel, going to the front door to wait to see who entered. -
Arcelio crossed his arms, glaring at Rayson as he entered. "Where. The. Hell. Were. You," he whisper-yelled. "You were gone all night-- what the f--- is that!?" His eyes had trailed down to Rayson's neck, where numerous purple-brown marks were visible.
-
"Are you joking me? Why did you even get that drunk in the first place? You shouldn't have even gone to a bar!" He waved his hands in wild, angry gestures. "I can't-- I cannot believe you would do that."
-
"The most honest people in the world are drunk people, and if you'd rather bang a random girl when you're drunk than just come and do it to me, then I'm worried about how you really feel about me!"
-
Arcelio crossed his arms again, feeling extremely conflicted. Even if he did decide to leave, there was nowhere to go besides back home, where they probably would be surprised to find he wasn't dead. After a moment of thought, he stomped off back to Magnus' bedroom, slamming the door shut behind himself.
-
Arcelio plopped down on the bed to go back to sleep, but ended up just staring into space, thinking. When the knock on the door came, he got up, opening it.
-
Arcelio nodded curtly, walking past the man out of the room. Within a few moments, he knew Rayson had left. He reached the kitchen, and everyone was there except for Rayson, and the truck couldn't be seen from the window.
-
Arcelio sat down at the table beside Angel, tapping her shoulder lightly to get her attention.
-
"You tired, hm?" Arcelio hummed, lightly rubbing the back of her shoulder. She felt like a little bit of happiness in all the confusion and sadness going on lately.
-
Arcelio chuckled when she got up just for the food, facing back forwards. "So.. I'm guessing Rayson's already been gone for a while?"
-
Arcelio nodded slowly, setting his hands on the table and twiddling his thumbs. "He's not good with timing. He could be very late, or very early."
-
Arcelio ingored the normal occurence for a moment, before jumping up from his seat. "No!" He exclaimed, "Wait here. I'll get it." He walked off to answer the door before anyone else could, looking through the peeper's hole first.
-
(He's adapting)
Arcelio hesitated to open the door. Even though the man standing there wasn't someone familiar, it only made Arcelio more nervous to open it. He silently rushed back to the kitchen, going straight to Rayson's brother. "Get everyone back, into a closet, or something. Do you have a gun? If you do, get it."
