(tell her that it's all ok man.)
Dan waited for Charlotte to make the first reaction. Afterward, he slowly let go of her and put his arm on his lap, straightening himself.
"Yeah it sure was. And no thanks, I can't have any more of that." Even though the bucket was still half full, Dan felt like he'd eaten a world of that popcorn.
He decided to keep silent because he wasn't sure what Charlotte said was sarcasm or not, considering all her laughs. -
(She gives her thanks.)
Charlotte grinned hugely, snickering at the half-empty bucket of popcorn in her hands.
"This is ridiculous. No one needs all this popcorn."
She took it with her on the way out, tossing it into one of the huge trashcans provided beside the door.
"As much as I hate to see this lovely night out come to a close, you know we have to continue discussing our terms sometime." she said with a sigh. "At least now it should be easier to get along with you, though." -
When it comes to work, Dan puts aside all other matters to do it well, because of the duty he felt against The Slash.
"Yeah. It was really fun and pleasant for me. But work is work, and at least it's not that bad anyway."
(dude do you want to do the discussion part or should we skip it? You decide.) -
(I'd rather discuss the terms. It's not really a story if we skip everything aside from the faux romance.)
"I guess not." Charlotte said, stretching her arms above her head and yawning lightly. "But it's soooo boring."
She started out of the movie theater, turning on the tips of her toes to face him and smile.
"But I know a lovely park we can go to to talk. The play equipment's all f---ed up so no one brings their kids there anymore. Sound okay?" -
(Yeah. You're right.)
"Sure, sounds great." Dan gave her a big smile, which oddly, just came out.
Dan checked his phone, it was 7:45. The discussion would probably take an hour and then they could have dinner at a restaurant around 9.
"So, I say let's start the work when walking to get this over with faster. What do you think?" -
"Yeah, sure." she said, and began to walk. "Maybe not in the theater, though."
She exited quickly, electing to stop a moment and look over the posters for upcoming films on the outside wall of the building. It all looked pretty generic. Original plotlines were impossible to come by these days.
Once they were a solid hundred feet from the theater, she started up the discussion.
"Alright. To start this off, I'd like to first reiterate that I can't let up my demands for The Slash out of my liking for you. I hope there'll be no hard feelings." -
"I understand. And same applies to me, or should I say you?"
The street they were walking in was very...calm. Lookes more like a dead city, a perfect spot for assassination.
"Anyway, let's pick up where we left off yesterday. So far, we both want the military out of scene, and we both have our demands for a contract." -
Charlotte blinked, nodding.
"Yeah. So look, Silver wants full control over Canarry Street and everything west of it. That's about 57% of the city, but, to be fair, we'll allow The Slash on our turf for jobs if they offer 10 percent of the revenue to our lords."
She bit her lip.
"We also want the hospital a block off of Canary." -
"Well, I think Silver is going a little too fast."
He took a deep breath, trying to make his tone more friendly.
"That's too much of a demand. How do you think it can be evened out for us?"
This was going to take long. -
Charlotte made her way to an empty park bench and sat down, crossing her legs. She patted the bench next to her with her hand, inviting him to sit with her.
"Even it out? Well.."
She paused for a moment to think.
"We need the hospital. If it helps at all, I think we could retract the line by a single street and raise it at the edges. That'd be just about even." -
(um my English sucks and google doesn't help, what do you mean by retract the line and by raise it at the edges? (.-.) )
-
(I may have misused that word. I meant move the line, as in on a map, the line of the street she was asking for, back by one street and moving each end of it further in to make something that might be passed off for a chubby u)
-
(Oooh Dan understands now...kinda :3 )
"You know, I kind of have a better idea. About the hospital you asked for, we can trade it off for the Alcohol factory, and if I remember correctly Silver has just one, so you know which I mean."
(btw I think the discussion should take quite a few days for the story, what do you think?) -
(Yeah, seems legit.)
"Alcohol factory?" She chuckled under her breath. "I think you know we can't give you that. Isn't there something else you'd rather have?" -
(Listen to this song asap, placebo - pierott the clown)
"I guess the Casino in the uptown could do too."
