Cyril passed by a fortune-teller's shop and giggled to herself. All that magic stuff is just too ridiculous...How could anyone actually believe it? shaking her head slightly, she kept walking. She was almost at the city park, where she'd promised to meet her friend. Although Cyril was a bit early, Mary might not be there yet...But she was. Cyril happily greeted her friend and the two of them set off again, window shopping and chatting with each other. -
The truck came to the human world and began to look for their next targets. Soon they had three, two girls and one male. The driver whom had blue horns prodruding from his head yawned lazily. "How many more?" He called to the other witch in the back. She has no pupils, yellow eyes, an no whites. "Get another girl and maybe another boy. That should do for now." The driver nodded and continued his way.
-
"You're joking...right?" Mary frowned and shook her head. "Mary, fortune telling? It's just a waste of money." But her friend simply stuck her tongue out and walked inside. Cyril stayed outside, leaning against the tinted windows. It was starting to get dark. I hope she gets out quick... Cyril had lived in the city all her life, but being out at night still scared her a bit.
-
The witch slid out from the truck and shifted into a yellow lab with the same eyes. In dog form, the shifter padded towards a girl leaning near a fortune telling booth. The dog chuckled and then pretended to limp and whine loudly.
-
Cyril immediately crouched down next to the dog. She'd always had a soft spot for animals. "Poor thing..." She gently stroked the dog's head. Pulling out her phone, she texted Mary. 'Gotta go. Txt u later.' She stroked the dog again. "I don't live too far from here. I can fix you up at home, alright?" She wasn't expecting an answer or anything, but she felt the need to say something. It had probably been a while since the creature had heard a kind word. "Let's go." The dog was too big to carry, so she'd have to have it walk back to her apartment with her.
-
The witch wagged her tail an limped towards the alley and sat down, Come child.. She said softly, with big pleading puppy eyes.
-
"Guess you won't follow me, hm?" She murmured, trailing after the dog. "Come on, come here..." She coaxed, slowly approaching the injured animal.
-
With a smirk she shifted, now standing before the girl with whiteless, pupiless, yellow eyes and stringy long blonde hair. "Good girl." She cooed before grabbing the girls wrist and twisting, pulling her into a sick version of a hug before tugging her farther back into the alley and towards the truck. Vines wrapped around the girls wrist like handcuffs.
-
Cyril yelped in surprise when the woman grabbed her. "H-Help!" She screamed, starting to panic. She struggled against whatever was holding her wrists. It didn't feel like rope, but what it was wasn't her main concern right now. "Help!"
-
"Shut up!" The witch hissed in her ear and threw open the van. "Got the last one!" She yelled to the others before turning and pushing the girl into the other warm bodies of living humans and closing the door behind her before the car lurched into movement.
-
Cyril pushed herself to her feet and looked at the other people around her. "W-Whi are you? Let m-me go!" She backed against one side of the van's interior and looked at the other people with wide, frightened eyes. Her hands were shaking.
-
*who)
-
The other humans blinked at her with the same eyes. "W-we don't know what's going on." A timid and quiet teenager said softly. She was a pretty blonde. "Their is something wrong with those people.." A boy spoke up, he was a nerd looking type with shaggy brown hair.
-
She sunk to her knees and sniffed pitifully. She didn't know what to say. She'd dropped her phone when that woman had grabbed her, there was no way to contact anyone for help. But that woman...her eyes...Cyril shuddered.
-
The car lapsed into silence before it came to a hault. The man with the horns sneered, showing sharp teeth. "Come on kiddies! Time to meet your masters!" He crackle loudly and his devil tail whipped around him a he started to line the kids up.
Alex sighed and walked outside, calling shadows to him and soon he was covered in the thick darkness as he made his way down town towards the dirty building where humans were held, sold, an sometimes killed.
