He frowned and let go of her hand when they were far enough away from the town. "It's not nice to worry in this business, now if you excuse me, I'm going to pass out from blood loss." He then proceeded to fall over clutching his first aid kit.

She sighed. He became visible, but she didn't automatically. She knelt down beside him, gradually becoming opaque. "At least let me help you."

He sighed lightly. "You're not using magic if you help. "he held out the small kit to her.

Rona frowned. "Fine." She took the kit and lifted his shirt to start taking care of the wound.

He sighed lightly and closed his eyes, waiting for her to finish. He felt tired, extremely tired.

She was glad that, while she cleaned it, he didn't seem to be in too much pain. She bandaged it and put his shirt back down. He was muscular, but there was no way she'd let that affect anything. She flopped down beside him when she was done.

He sighed and sat up. "Thanks." He dug through his pocket and pulled out the diamond."Didn't go as planned, but we still got the diamond."

She nodded. "I'm really sorry about... all of that."

He smiled lightly. "It's fine, usually something goes wrong on the first theft."

"Next time, let me handle the guards. Or at least one of them. I can do it." She looked up at him.

He laughed lightly. "Fine, I'll let you handle a guard." He held out the diamond to her.

She took it and held it up, turning it in the moonlight. "This is beautiful."

He nodded. "It will probably, if we sell it, get about 40,000 coins for it. All silver though."

She smiled. "Still, that's not bad." Then, Rona yawned.

He smiled. "You better get some sleep Rona." He sat up a bit more. "I'll stay up and watch for anyone."
