He spotted the window first. He was happy he still had the hook he used to get into the cottage. "okay. Stand back so I can hook this to the window." He started to swing it carefully and threw the hook onto the window. He tugged at it to make sure it was secure.
-
She watched him, then started floating up. "Bye." She waved as she floated to one of the third floor windows and sat on the little part of it that jutted out.
-
He frowned and climbed up quickly. "You know, you could have told me you could do that." He saw the latch to the window and brought his knife out. He slowly jabbed the knife in and made a perfect circle. He grabbed the piece of glass and made it drop. "There." He stuck his arm through the hole and unlocked the latch.
-
She shrugged. "I thought you'd have your own way to do things. Would you have been okay with me using magic on you?" Rona floated up to his window when it was opened.
-
He frowned lightly. "Point taken. Now be very quiet." He whispered quietly as he climbed through the window. He wanted carefully over to the center of the room and a stand holding a giant blue diamond was in the middle of the room. His eyes lit up at the sight of it. It was the size of a large man's fist.
-
She followed behind him, just as quietly. "Whoa," she breathed.
-
He smiled lightly and looked over the glass. "Now do your magic and we'll be out of here quickly."
-
She slowly raised the glass, concentrating a lot because of its weight. She dropped it and it shattered as the doors opened and the two guards stepped in.
-
He cursed loudly and grabbed the diamond quickly. The guards charged at them he pulled out his dagger and ran at them, slicing one in the side. The other guard ran at Rona and he ran quickly, getting in the way of the sword, only getting cut on the side. He winced lightly.
-
She quickly shot a bolt of magic at the one that had wounded Daniel, knocking him unconscious. She looked at Daniel. "I'm sorry I'm so sorry."
-
He smiled a bit. "I'm fine, just another scar to add to my stories." He stood up slowly. "Come on, we better get out of here. That was a big crash."
-
"Hold on." She walked over to the guards and pressed her fingers against their foreheads. "I want to remove the memory of our appearance."
-
He chuckled. "That's a very smart move."
-
"Done." She stood and walked over to him. "Do you want me to help with that?" she asked, gesturing to his wound.
-
He shook his head no. "No I'll handle it. We need to leave now." He went back to the window and he grabbed his rope, wincing in the process. "Come on."
