Halyn stared at the new girl in awe. Then a though entered her mind. "Um, little girl, how old are you?" Halyn asked, slowly. "And where are we?"
"I'm Lucinda, and I'm pretty sure that you guys are people not monsters." Lu turned to look at Halyn and Will, "I'm 12 years old. I've been here for 3 years, but you don't age here. And I'm not a little girl." Lu looked around. "I'm not sure where we are. I call it The Land Beyond the Horizon, population me... And now you too. Oh and call me Lu or Lucy. I hate the name Lucinda." -
"Erm, hello. Could you explain these markings that were scratched into our arms?" I said pulling up my sleeve.

Lucinda frowned. She took off one of her gloves and there was the same mark on the back of her wrist. Lu quickly put the glove back on. "I think it lets us live. The mark once healed. But once it did, I couldn't breath. So I had to carve the mark back onto my skin."

"Oh, lovely. So why were we brought here?" I said, returning to taking in the sights.

Ava thought for a moment. "Wait, so if these marks heal we almost die? Great." She crossed her arms and walked over to Lucy. Her fiery hair was now falling in her eyes. "At least I'll see my dad when I do." She mumbled to herself. -
Lucinda shrugged. "If I knew why I was here I would've been long gone!" She shouted to no one in particular. "And yes, you would almost die." Then she smiled again, "you guys must've been through a lot. You can follow me to my place if you'd like."
Halyn raised an eyebrow. This girl bugged her. She was to... Perky. Especially in a situation like this. But they didn't have anywhere else to go at the moment. "I'll go," Halyn mumbled, walking towards Lu. -
"Can we even leave this place? I don't know about the rest of you, but I liked it more where we were." I may hate people, but there was something about this place that made me want to hide behind me hair and hood. If something had to die, then I'd kill it.

"I might as well go. FYI, if you aren't wanting to get eaten, I'd suggest coming along." I walked over to where Lu and Halyn were.

She sighed and followed the young girl. At least Ava wouldn't have to worried about aging, but she always had the possibility to get hurt. "This place is sort of comfortable. Like a calmer version of hell." She commented.

Lucinda laughed, "When you live here for 3 years with no one to talk to, it starts to feel like hell!" She laughed a bit more then coughed. "Well, my home is further up. A kilometre or so?"
Halyn was starting to wonder why she'd chosen to go with Lucy. The girl was nuts. But she had to keep going in this twisted world. "Fine then, we'll follow you."
