Hearing a knock downstairs, he left his room and made his way to the entrance to find the thief's daughter. -
What?
"Um...Hello." She said, blinking up at him. He didn't seem all that monstrous. Had her father been lying? -
That's the picture I'm using for him but you know with scars and stuff
"You're the thief's child, aren't you?" He asked. She was a pretty girl, and he could see the resemblance to her father. -
That's hot.-.
"Um, yes. I'm Miri, Miri Mason." She nodded. -
So are you
"Good. My name is Adrian Cliffe,and Miss Mason, you will refer to me as Master or Master Cliffe. If you come with me, I'll show you your room." He started walking toward the stairs. -
Not as much as you~
Miri nodded, then followed him, silently looking around. -

"You know why you're here, correct?" -
Yesss.
"Not completely. I mean, I just know my father stole from you.." She started. -
Nahhhhh
"That's exactly right. And I'm sorry that you have to suffer from it, but I couldn't think of a better punishment for him than to take one of his daughters. From now on, you will be one of my servants. Or, my only one. The rest are gone." He strode down the hall, and opened a door. Behind it, there was a decently-sized room, more for a guest than a servant. -
"Only one?" Miri said. She glanced at the room, blinking. It was nice, not what she'd expected when she'd heard the term Servant.

"The rest were... They left or were killed." He stepped out of the room.

Miri stopped short of inspecting the room when she heard that.
"Killed?" -
"By the way, you are not allowed to leave the grounds. I expect that, for meals, you will take care of dinner. I'll prepare breakfast each morning since it's likely I'll be up earlier than you. I'll leave you now to settle in." Adrian reached for the door to shut it. "Oh, and my room as well as my study are on the other side of the mansion. No matter the circumstances, you are not to enter either of those rooms. Do I make myself clear?"

Miri blinked, trying to push back her concern to pay attention. She nodded as he finished. "Um, yes."

"Excellent. Thank you for joining me, Miss Mason. I appreciate it." He shut the door and calmly walked away.
