If Becky could notice anything wrong with Jake, or even feel anything trying to burrow into his skull, it certainly wasn't showing on his person. His thoughts progressed as normal, centered on the journey ahead. And Jaya.
God, I can't wait to see Emily again. She's gonna absolutely flip when she sees me rock up to her house in Vegas. I wonder if I need a gift. Is that a thing boyfriends usually do? I should ask...I dunno what is name is, slow guy. I should ask slow guy how he wooed Shutterbug. Man, he must be the luckiest guy in the wastes, catching a girl like that. Unless he bought her. Then things get tragic.
Becky's thoughts were scattered for a moment as someone called out to him. Turning quickly, he noted that it wasn't Jake, before turning forward again to catch sight of two more people. Great.
Not slowing his pace, Becky closed the gap. -
Taylor stopped in front of the other three people. One was a boy, the other a girl with glittering ruby eyes, and the last...a girl. Decidedly a female, though she wasn't as feminine as the other. Taylor smiled, brushing her hair away from her face. "Hi!"
Victor stood silently, and somewhat awkwardly, behind his sister, quietly examining their new company. They weren't dressed like the people who'd killed their mother, so they were likely normal people. Like them, (mostly) normal people trying to survive in an abnormal world. -
Patting the fresh grave down he started to dig another one.
Max started to check out the rooms. Any movies he found he stacked in the living room and he had found quit a bit. Next her found video games and a xbox. All of it went in the living room. Last he looked in the kitchen. -
(I'm going to have to bail... Sorry. I'm really busy IRL and I'm in a lot of soaps/RPs. I would love to continue, but I'll just slow you guys down because I don't post much. Sorry...)

(YOU DON'T LEAVE!! YOU ARE A GREAT ADDITION! I am COMPLETELY against that choice. I REALLY want you here! We can just skip over you if you're being slow.)

Jia then called out one more time, as the shrubbery in the forest got louder. It was windy where she was at, but she still got the creeps about it. She was only 12, she didn't stand too much a chance against a bunch of adult brawlers.
X! Wake up! I'm getting a bit scared and really f---ing cold right now! Wake up, dammit!
She thought. Soon after-wards, she was literally in the cargo car in with the large robot, and trying to scrape against it's eyes.
"Stop doing that!" The same childish boy said in her mind. It was definitely the voice chip in her head inter-tuning with the voice chip in the robot's head. Soon enough, a bright, blue light emitted from the robot's glassy fore-face, and began to let sounds surround. The robot then began to flip and turn small plates over and under all of it's body, and moved it's legs.
"YES, YES, YES, YES!!!" Jia said in awe. She stood in the car corner of the cargo car piece of the rustic train, watching the robot slowly stand up.
Once the robot fully stood up, it was a boasting 14 feet tall. The small girl had to crane her neck fully up to see it's face. The robot, with it's blue light emitting from it's crevices, picked the girl up.
"Aren't you a little bit young to be cussing?" The robot played around with her. Un-like the voice in Jia's head, the voice the robot really gave off was extremely deep and mechanical. Like Optimus Prime just dub-stepped his own voice. The towering robot then set the girl down and easily stepped across the edge of the car with one great stride.
The bushes grew very sound, until they stopped. Then a large wave of bandits began to rush the young girl. So many battle cries they gave off, it could be heard across the entire damn country. Well, what-ever's left of it. They ran as fast as they could, until, guns and swords ready, they were a mere 9 feet away from the towering robot.
"We got here first, little girl! WE take the robot! You just get out of here, and no-body dies." A tough-looking short man said with biker leathers and a hunting rifle.
"Let me take care of this." The robot said as it picked the girl up lightly with it's bulky fingers, and set her in the cargo car. It then punched it's palm.
"This'll be easy." -
(I hope you can catch up with stuff soon. Sorry, Luna. Join in if you can.)
Jake had to stop as a wave of nausea hit him. He jogged to catch up to the other male. Glad he could uncover the true gender of the person, but upset that Becky was thinking about Jaya. He glanced at the people arriving. Jake felt like there was something wrong with the sudden lot of kids. "Hi there."
Jaya easily kept up with Becky. She didn't want to be near any other people. She shyly looked at the two, biting her lip, not saying a word. Suddenly, she looped her arm through Becky's, pulling her along. Both bypassed the other two. -
Becky raised her hand, splitting her fingers down the middle, causing a gap down the middle of her digits. "Sup?"
Suddenly, Becky's feet moved out from under her as he was pulled along. He barely had enough time to wave goodbye as he was jostled forward. For a couple of seconds he fumbled on his feet, until they finally found connection with the ground. Digging in, Becky forced the two of them to a stop. "Wow, slow down there, baby. What's the rush? You know they ain't gonna hurt ya. Probably. Not going to hurt me at least, so there's that. What, you scared of new people or something?" -
(/worries that I skipped people for no reason omg I've never done this before. /)o^o(\)
The young girl's eyes flicked between Becky, Jake, and the other two. She shuffled her feet. "I'm not allowed to be near others.. And... Most people are scary. You never know if they're one of the survivors who plans to kill us all," Jaya's face went paler than usual, which should have been almost impossible. "I'd rather we leave them behind. Maybe even Jake." Her voice dropped low as her normally straight face grew serious. "He's abusive."
Jake was too far away from Jaya and Becky to hear their conversation. He didn't feel like catching up, either, and so decided a good excuse to be a good twenty-fifty feet away from them was to speak with the other kids. His gaze was unsettled between the female and the male. -
(Nah, don't worry about it.)
Smiling, Becky threw an arm over Jaya, "Well, don't worry about that. I ain't gonna kill you if I can help it. Girls like us, we gotta stick together. Hell, when we get to Vegas, I'll introduce you to Emily, she always knows what to do."
As Jaya kept talking though, Becky's smile gradually diminished until it was nothing but a blank gaze. Glancing behind the girl obviously, Becky pointed at Jake. "Wait, wait slow down. What's this about abuse? What's he doing?" -
(Then I won't worry at all.)
Jaya pressed her small body up against Becky's. She ran a hand through her hair, holding in what would have been a loud sigh. "Jake is possesive of me. I'm like a doll for him to play with." A long pause. "After the accident, he changed. He was hitting me for breaking anything, sometimes rape. If I were to try to say my mind, he'd throw me against whatever was there."
She paused again, feeling like a small child who could get caught any minute and scolded. "I think he developed a power of some sort. He's never told me. Jake's nice at some times. Just way worse at others." Jaya finally fell silent. Out of the blue, she wondered if her voice was as quiet as it was in her head. -
Becky was no stranger to tragedy. He wasn't a stranger to crime either. Theft was the most obvious one; Becky didn't think there was a single thing he owned that wasn't stolen. Assault too, on both ends. Even the occasional murder, but that was always an accident. But these...these were all crimes of necessity. What Jake was doing...
Becky could feel her hands clench. Even if he wasn't one of those freaks, people like him didn't deserve to survive when much better people didn't. And forcing himself on a lady...Becky released his breath, not even realizing he was holding it.
For a brief second, Becky considered running. There was no telling what Jake was capable of, he'd almost certainly side the new guys against him, and it was incredibly dangerous to fight anyway. But then Becky remembered what kind of a man he was.
"Stay here. Ol Becky is going to handle this." Clenching his hands, Becky started to walk towards the group. -
Taylor stared at the two girls with a mildly confused expression. The one girl was marching towards them, looking quite determined. Victor placed his hand on Taylor's shoulder and pulled her away from the others a bit. She frowned, but didn't protest, glancing over at the other boy, who was watching the two girls.

(I like being robo. :) )
The large robot stood at an easy halt, and announced it's name. "I am Prototype X-12.", and that was all it said before it took a large scan of the battle-field, and rushed them. Most of the bandits were un-trained carriers, many frail and weak. They could've need X-12 for protection, but Prototype didn't give a robotic s---. The group was also small, measuring around 10. They gave a louder battle screech. Cute.
"We're almost at Vegas, we're almost at Vegas, we're almost at Vegas, we're almost at Vegas, we're almost at Vegas." Jia anxiously whispered to her-self. Soon enough she heard some blood-curdling screams, but, eh. Those bandits didn't look tough. Against X-12? Nope.
Prototype X-12 de-plated it's left hand into a machine gun blaster, and shot 3 bandits with heavy force. It was a machine gun blaster, any-ways. It then booted another weak bandit, breaking his spine in several places. It transformed it's right arm into a mini Gatling gun, and shot down the rest of the bandits.
"It's safe now." X-12 said in it's deep, mechanized voice. Jia quickly hopped out of the cargo bin and hugged the towering guardian's leg.
Eww, get off! It feels weird when you do that! The robot telepathically spoke to Jia.
Oh please. You're comfortable and cold. And... Oh god. Just trace down Las Vegas. Jia pleaded to X-12, wiping off some thick crimson liquid.
"We are 300 meters away from Las Vegas. The light emission is signalling it." X-12 said blatantly.
"You're hands." Jia said, pointing at Prototype's hands. One was still a machine gun blaster, the other a Gatling gun. Prototype immediately augmented the Gatling gun back to it's normal, three-fingered hand.
"Let us go."
(I think you guys should've heard the cries now.) -
Maxwell frowned and climbed up the steps and pushed open one of the windows. Climbing out onto the roof he stood up and turned his head towards the sound cries. Frowning he looked back where Dom was.
Dominic frowned, lifting his head. Cries were normal.. but not this close. Finnishing the grave he walked inside and called for Max. "Come on! Let's board up.. I don't know what that was.." He trailed off and swiftly walked towards the front door. Taking out his knife he carved a phoniex into the door and shut the door, him inside, the carving on the out.
