Tanner frowned at him. "I know it looks like a cat, but.. Does it have fuuuuuur? Explain it in detail." He didn't add that he would rather touch one now.

"Yes it has fur. And I don't know how to explain what it looks like."

Tanner stared at him for a minute. He thought about "smacking" him with his notebook, but decided against it, just staring at him.

Nikolas didn't like being stared at, so he looked away. He hated that he had to deal with this while the other scientists were off doing god knows what.

Tanner sighed. His red hair was tussled, and he looked like he had been in a fight. It had been a while since he last had a shower, so it looked much like a kindergartener's hair.

Nikolas tried to distract himself with experiments again, but it wasn't working.

(If I get shot down for bumping up the big, 5,000 page soap for Heph, this world has no meaning. ._.)
Tanner ran a hand through his hair. At least, attempted to. His fingers got stuck almost instantly. He grumbled random words.
One of the other scientists stepped into the room. He stared at Tanner for a moment before looking to Nikolas. "I've been told that Tanner needs a bath, and because we're busy, he needs a caretaker for the day," He handed the other male a list. "Let him find these things in the room full of outside objects after you get him in the shower. He knows very well how it works, you should have no trouble." He left as soon as he came. -
(What do you mean, get shot down?)
Nikolas groaned. He did not want to be babysitter for the day. -
(Some new user was like "did you just bump this" and was about to get all mad at me.)
Tanner stood up, walking over to Nikolas. One thing he was good at was math, and the other? Reading. He read the list out loud for himself and Nikolas, "Send him to the bathroom. Wait outside for him. Then, go to the Outside room and look for the following... Book, pencil or pen, empty notebook, and.. CAT." He beamed at the last word. "I get to bring these all back?" -
(Whatever, don't pay any mind to them.)
Nik shrugged. "I guess." -
Tanner smiled happily. He looked at the door. "..Where's the bathroom?"

Nik sighed. "I'll show you, c'mon," he said, walking out of the room and heading down the hall in the direction of the bathroom.

Tanner followed, eager to leave the room. He looked at the hall with so much interest it was dumb.

Nikolas glanced back once or twice to make sure the kid didn't wander off.

He realized he knew where the bathroom was once they got close enough to it. He ran in, shutting the door. He then proceeded to strip, and hop in to take his bath.
