He took her hand and shook it softly. His hand was warm, calloused and rough. Hers was cold, dainty, and smooth. Complet opposites. He smiled at that.
-
Again, she was a little surprised at his warmth. She let go and sipped her tea.
-
"We can start today." He said simply and took a sip. "My house is on the out skirts of town. We will head there." He nodded to himself.
-
"Okay," she said. She looked around the cabin and realized she'd missed a spot on one of the walls.
-
"Get ready." He smiled and set down his cup and walked over to where he had slept. Pulling on his coat he started to fold the blankets she had given him.
-
She went and changed clothes. She wore something a little bit warmer, but it didn't really matter. She came back a few minutes later, braiding her hair as she did so and putting the braid into a bun.
-
He tried not to eye her, he liked her hair down but didn't say anything. "Ready Princess?" He chuckled and held the door open for her. A cool breeze brought the scent of the woods and he inhaled happily.
-
"When will you stop calling me that?" She walked outside then turned back to him, crossing her arms across her chest.
-
He shut the door and shrugged. "When you stop being annoyed by it." He said simply and walked past her, but at a slow pace. He walked quietly and watched the quiet forest.
-
"It'd be like if I called you... whatever you do. Hunter or something." Ava walked alongside him.
-
"Well I am a hunter so that dosent bug me. Nothing really does." He frowned as he thought about this. "Except for worms. I don't I just.. I hate worms." He shivered at the thought of the pink wiggly things in the dirt.
-
"Then I guess it'd be like calling you a princess, or maybe a prince. It's something that you're not." She didn't respond to the worm comment.
-
He shook his head. "But you are a Princess. You just don't want to be called that because you bealive that part of you is gone but I see another part of you that no one does.. Not even you." He blinked slowly at the pale sun. It turned his eyes the color of a soft gold. His hair also flashed from the flecks of gold in it.
-
"What makes a princess, the blood or her kingdom?" she asked.
-
He let his eyes drift over to her. "Her heart." He said simply and looked away again. Yawning slightly he drew his hood over his head and it his his wavy hair.
