"It's fine." He took the blankets. "Thanks you Princess." He said softly and smiled at her from over the blankets.

"Please just call me Ava," she murmured. "I told you that I'm not a princess anymore."

"You still are to me." He declared and sat back down in the chair with his blankets.

She rolled her eyes and sat in her own chair.

He fell silent as he drifted in and out of his thoughts and sleep.

"Goodnight," she whispered, then left to sleep as well.

It didn't take him long to fall asleep in the bundle of the blankets and the warm fire.

She changed clothes in her room then crawled into bed. It didn't take her long to fall asleep.

Around midnight or so he woke up colder. The fire had died down. Throwing more logs onto the fire he coaxed it into growing once more before laying down on the floor on his coat and in the blankets. He fell asleep again.

An hour or two later, ice started to crawl down the walls. It was an inch or two thick, and was not easily melted by the fire. It crept along the floors and up her chair, but left a small circle around him.
In her own bed, Ava tossed and turned. She muttered something in a tense, worried tone, but it was impossible to decipher her words. -
Feeling the ice in his own sleep he got comfortable once more, in his cacoon of blankets. By the time the sun rose up and casted a pinkish glow on things he was under all the blankets. Completly hidden except for the lump of his body.

She hadn't had much sleep after that. She was up too early, and walked out into the living room and started a kettle of tea on the fire. She looked around at the ice, and started trying to melt it.

Darius grunted and yawned pulling his head out from his blankets. "Good morning." He yawned sleepily. His hair stuck up randomly and he looked like a child trying to wake up.
