Grovyle trilled happily and followed Bianca. The trainer smiled, but jumped back when suddenly a shape darted out from the grass!

Sam took a step back, surprised. Oddly, she had seen few pokemon on this route, and she hadn't expected to see one just now.

The shape split apart and twoOddish leapt towards them. Bianca jumped back. "Gecko, use vine whip!" The green pokemon moved up, shooting out a long vine that whipped one of the Oddish.

"Sweetie, Dark Pulse!" Sweetie lept forward, and a dark mood seemed to hang over the area.

"Now body slam!" Bianca called. The Grovyle charged forward, tackling the smaller grass type full-on. The Oddish collapsed dizzily, before hurriedly fleeing back into the grass. The other one stomped its tiny feet defiantly, shooting a razor leaf at the opponents.

"Shadow ball!" A dark mist began to form in front of Sweetie, then flew forward towards the oddish.

The tiny pokemon yelped and tumbled back, before following it's friend into the grass. Bianca grinned. "Sweetie's strong! You must be a good trainer."

"It helps that she's my starter. You don't know how long it took her to evolve..."

Bianca laughed a little. "Well it was worth it."

Sam smiled. "Who was your starter?"

"Shellshock, I got him as a squirtle."

"Ah, I see..."

Bianca nodded. "Hey, we're here!" The city was enourmous, filled with busy streets, fancy shops, and bright signs.

"So, what type of gym does this city have?"
