(Wow... Coincidence?)

IHLAOY Newbie(Maybe. As long as we don't go on a long, soul searching journey with a good hearted gangster to Fate's childhood home to rediscover her past and learn who she truly is, we should be fine.)

(I think we're good then.)

(I AM STILL ALIVE!!!)
Human Narrator - Nikkili was pushed back into the waters by a strange force, and ended up falling through a small hill, eventually looking up from a swamp. "How the hell did I get here?!" He quietly exclaimed, his clothes wet and oh-so-dirty. He tried to brush some of the mud, dirt and straw off of his clothes, but he knew it was to no avail. He looked up to the large hill, and then seen a small, refreshing spring of water up north. He decided to bathe him-self in the springs first, and nearly tripped at how deep it was. He immediately went to search for Erika, as he had forgotten about her when he was knocked back. -
Erika looked at Marina, awestricken. "Y-your a monster...?" Marina nodded. Erika took quick breaths, trying to stay calm. "O-oh." Erika looked around. The sun was setting fast. Darkness began to overtake the light. Then Erika looked at Marina. "Why did you yank me back so suddenly?"
Marina frowned. "There was something there..." She mumbled vaguely. Then she glanced around. "Where is that other boy? I'm sure I pulled both of you into the shadows." Erika's eyes widened. She had forgotten about him. Marina turned around and started walking. "Let's go find him, shall we?" Erika hestitated. For all she knew, Marina could be luring her into a trap. But still, Erika followed out of curiosity. -
IHLAOY NewbieLooking down from his vantage point at the top of a hill, Grant noticed two girls wadding through the river. That wasn't very smart of them. Conservation of body heat was important, and who knew what kind of microbes could be in that river? Never go into a river with open wounds, he'd learnt that lesson well. Stepping forward, Grant tried to inch down the hill. The ground slipped beneath his feet, and Grant tried to find a grip; too slow to stop himself from falling.
Landing roughly, Grant fought a twitch out of his arm before standing back up. It would probably be wise to meet up with those two girls; safety in numbers and all that, Grant decided. -
Human Narrator - Nikkili knew he had to get out of the swampy murk, quick, or else he might get sick from the water, or a big fish (like a crocodile) would snap at him, so he instantly left and headed to a much shallower part of the springs, so he ended up bathing all of the murky mud off of him-self, and headed towards where last he saw Erika. But some-thing changed.
Mysterious Narrator - But before he even saw, the strange shadow instantly pushed it-self into Nikkili's shadow, merging. Nikkili's shadow was originally like an abomination's, but eventually it went to exactly like Nikkili's. He headed towards Erika. -
IHLAOY NewbieWatching silently, Grant stared as the boy waded through the water slowly. More people in the water. What was it with the water here, was there something in it? Why did everyone insist on getting their clothes wet and losing valuable body heat? Or worse, risk an infection and amputation? It didn't make sense.
A shadow flew across the river, but Grant didn't care that much. It was probably a large bird of prey looking for something delicious to snack on. He couldn't blame it, he was feeling a bit peckish himself. Regaining his breath, Grant skipped forward. There was no way he was getting in the water, not in a million years, but hopefully on of the crazy people would notice him running along the bank. -
(Sorry about that, I was at a sleepover.)
Erika spotted Nikkili. She waved. Erika was about waist deep in water now. Why the monster was dragging her into the water she didn't know. Maybe Marina was trying to drown her or something. But Erika knew that it was unlikely judging by how Marina acted.
"I guess he found us. Or maybe we just met in the middle," Marina said. She noticed a flash of a shadow. But it was too fast to tell if it was him or not. She would have to be observant. Marina was going to take them through the water tunnels. Marina noticed another person running along the riverbank. "I wouldn't recommend running along the river bank. It's very slippery, and muddy." -
Nikkili quickly leaped out of the murk bank, and stared surprised at the strange alien with water powers. "b------!" he quickly yelled, and attacked the monster, quickly hurtling a heavy punch to her abdomen, making her stunned. He grabbed Erika's arm, then trekked past the bus, on to the right of the forest.
-
Erika wrenched her arm out of Nikkilil's hand. "She was helping me! Even though she's a... Okay, let me explain. Apparently, this forest has monsters in it. That water girl is named Marina. She is a descendent of the Swamp Monster. She was helping me find you." Erika frowned.
Marina gasped for air. She wasn't used to direct physical attacks. She was more used to getting attacked by water, trees or lightning. Marina caught her breath. Then she frowned. The two were nowhere to be seen. Marina turned to the guy on the riverbank. "I still wouldn't do that..." -
"Does it look like I give a s---?!" Nikkili exclaimed. "Listen, we have to get out of here, not talk to other-worldly terrestrials like that!" he hurriedly said as he was looking around, then spotted a figure, a male human figure, jogging near the water-banks who was about to lose his footing.

(DID YOU THINK I WOULD LET THIS DIE?!?!?!)

(I'm sorry! I meant to post...)
Erika spotted Marina a bit farther down in the river. Erika sighed. Erika could tell that Nikkili wanted to leave. Her homesickness was outweighing her curiosity about what the water monster was doing. She wanted to go home.
Marina frowned. She had spotted Erika and Nikkili. But she could tell that they both wanted to leave. To leave, she repeated in her head. No one has ever left these woods. Marina started to move to tell them, but a water current grabbed her foot and dragged her down. Marina closed her eyes as she got quickly pulled into the river. She opened her eyes to be face-to-face with her sister. -
IHLAOY NewbieGrant slowed down as he closed the distance between him and the girls. Not slow enough, apparently, as the loose mud around the bank slipped beneath his feet, pulling him towards the water.
Half a second after his foot first hit the water though, Grant pulled himself back violently; a loud crack echoing through the air. He fumbled on his feet for a moment, before falling onto his back.
Standing back up, Grant stretched his body into the air, slipping his bones back into place. Don't touch the water, that was a bad idea. He couldn't tell why, but something in his being was telling him to stay away from the water.
Grant tracked down the girls a second, and started walking towards them with a friendly wave in his hand.
