Flight let out a warning growl, feeling her hands clench and her body tense. She stood and strode out of the room, trying to shove down the anger. She heard Jaxon's voice and followed it, forcing herself to relax.
-
He looked relax and not battle ready for once. He smiled lightly as he spoke and even changed his voice for the different characters that spoke.
-
Flight slipped in and leaned against the wall, watching.
Just a few miles away, a lone woman stumbled through the night, looking seriously injured. It wasn't obvious to onlookers, but she was a werewolf. She nearly fell as she made her way to the front of a building with a small sign that said Welcome to the Home of Zayn and Silver. She coughed, and blood wet her lips. She pounded once on the door before collapsing.
(It's Lara! :o) -
:O -le gasp and gets popcorn- ))
Zayn opened the door and his eyes went wide as saucers. "Silver! Get the med kit!" He yells behind him and scoops the girl up. He gentle pushed the barking puppies away with his foot as he shut the door and cleared off the kitchen table and laid her down. "It's Lara.."
Vivian ran over and look down at the bleeding girl. She looked so.. Familiar but she couldn't place who this girl reminded her of. She got wet clothes and began to clean away the blood.
Jaxon finished the story and sat back. "Come, go downstairs and get something to eat." He smiled as he watched them all take off. Standing up he actually jumped to notice Flight watching him. He became guarded once more. "Oh. Didn't see you there." -
Lara moaned, flinching unconsciously as they touched her wounds. Silver sprinted in and her eyes widened. "Oh my..." She disappeared for a moment before returning with the med kit and a few more towels. Lara was bleeding from what looked like two bullet wounds on her leg and a couple knife slashes on her stomach. "s---!" Silver muttered as Lara jerked her body up, back arching in pain as she ran a gentle hand over her old friend's bullet wounds.
Fay hurried in, stopping at the sight of the bleeding girl on the table. "What- Who is that?!"
Flight shrugged. "Sorry." She said, straightening away from the wall. -
Zayn started to get to work on stitching the wounds in her stomach. "Silver, I need you to pull the bullets out." He commanded and then added, "Viv, Fay, we will need clothes and blankets so she can rest. Get her a bed ready."
Vivian nodded and took off the find clothes they always had in case if emergencies.
Jaxon shuffled his feet akwardly. "Why don't you go eat?" He asked quietly before meeting her eyes with his own. -
Silver nodded and held down Lara's leg with one hand, pulling out the bullet with the other. A small whimper came from the girl's throat, and Silver jerked the other bullet out in a quick, expert movement. "How deep are the knife wounds?" She asked, applying bandages.
Fay hurried to the closet, grabbing a few blankets and darting into the guest room, preparing the bed.
Flight shook her head. "I'm not hungry." She admitted, looking back at him before looking away once more. -
"Not to deep. There is one that's slightly deeper then the other so we have to keep an eye on those. What about the bullet wounds?" He grabbed disinfecting spray. "Sorry this will hurt." He sprayed all her wounds.
Jaxon slowly sat back down and waved a hand for her to join him if she wished. "How do you like it here so far?" He asked softly. -
"They're fine." Silver said. Lara let out a yelp, body trembling. As Zayn stopped spraying, her eyes flickered open. "Oh God..." She muttered, and tried to sit up.
Flight sat across from him. "It's...nice." She said in a musing tone, suddenly realizing it was. Sure, there were people like Kay. But compared to her old pack, this was heaven. -
"Lay still." He said softly and gentle pushed her back down. "Start cleaning the blood off please." He walked away so he wouldn't see anything.
Jaxon nodded. "Good.. I'm glad they like you. I told you, we arnt so bad. Just a few f---ers that are a pain in the ass." He chuckled softly and shrugged a broad shoulder. -
Lara lay still, shaking slightly. "How long have I been gone?" She whispered. Silver frowned, gently cleaning off the blood. "Just before Vivian was born, so a hundred and ten years." Lara frowned. She hadn't changed much, but there was something about her that spoke of someone who had seen too much, suffered even more. "I...I can't remember anything." She whispered. Silver knit her brows. "Just go back to sleep." She murmured. Lara did so, face smoothing out.
Flight nodded, allowing herself a small smile. "What did she say to you?" She suddenly asked, referring to Kay. She knew he'd probably close up immediately, but something inside her begged to know. -
Vivian handed her mother the clothes she found. "Here mom." She said quietly. "I think.. She has a kid." She said softly after she had placed the face with her friends.
Jaxons lips twitched into a small smile. "Your a curiouse one arnt you?" He mused before shrugging. "She wants me to leave my door unlocked tonight. Kinda something like that anyway." He sighed and closed his eyes and laid his head on the wall. -
Silver took the clothes and gestured for Vivian to help her get them on. "Why do you think that?" She asked, studying Lara's face, pale and thin. She couldn't imagine her with a kid. Then again, the last time she'd seen Lara the werewolf had been barely seventeen.
Flight shrugged again. "I guess so." She was silent for a moment, studying his face. -
Vivian helped her and was careful of the new wrapped up wounds. "The werewolf pack? The Alpha looks like her.. He dosent know his dad or mom but he remembers her with blonde hair." She sighed quietly.
Jaxon sighed quietly and slightly opened his eyes. "We used to have a past but I broke it off and well.. She wasn't a happy camper. She dosent want to let go when I want nothing with her." -
Silver frowned. "Hm. We'll talk to her about it later." She sighed and finished dressing Lara. She looked too slim, ribs prominent against her scarred body. "She looks the same and yet so different." She said with another sigh, leaning against the table for a moment.
Flight almost told him to fight her, and whoever won got their way. That's not how they work here. She reminded herself. "I knew a guy who was like that about me," She frowned, "I ended up hurting him. By accident." Flight shifted in her seat, aware of how lame that sounded. But she really hadn't meant to. He'd cornered her and she'd defended herself, plus some.
