His head dunked under the water as he tried to fight his leg free.
Lightkit stood on the shore watching Firepaw and her brother. "Hurry!" She mewed towards the apprentice. -
Firepaw grabed Darkkit by the scruff and tried to pull him free

Darkkit gasped as he broke the surface an let Firepaw drag him to shore. "Thanks." He spat out water and looked at her with wide terrified eyes.
Lightkit began to cover her brother in quick frantic licks like a mother cat would do. Then again, the twins didn't know there parents. -
"We should go back." Firepaw meowed. She started walking back.

The kits followed closely behind Firepaw and this time they didn't say anything. They careful avoided rocks or twigs in fear of one of them getting hurt.

Hey returned to cavernclan. "You two okay?"

Lightkit blinked "Yeah. Thank you Firepaw." The kits fur was drying and sticking up in places. She headed towards the nursery to take a nap.
Darkkit nodded "Thanks Firepaw." He started to trot behind his sister and the two slipped inside and curled up in a moss nest they shared. They soon fell asleep.
