Jace stuffed his hands in his pockets after flipping his hood up. He walke away from the houses and towards the lake. Few people ever went there anymore. He sighed softly, it was dark now. Kicking a rock but saying nothing everything around him was rather silent.
-
I looked up. It was getting darker. "We'll, we'd better get in some training before it gets too dark." I said.
-
"Um, er, Okay!" She said. You could tell Cari was a little nervous. Carl's eyes widened a little, and lightly shook his head.
-
I walked over to the training area with them. "I really want to find out what my power is," I said quietly. A trainer saw us and walked towards us.
"Are you here to train?" She asked. I nodded. She smiled, "right this way," she said, gesturing behind her. -
The twins followed, both a little nervous. What if I miss the target and everyone laughs at me? Cari thought worriedly. What if I accidentally hit someone, and they make me fight em? Carl stressed.
-
I glanced at them as we followed the trainer. "It'll be fine," I said. Although I was a little worried myself.
"Ok," the trainer said, "choose a target or a training dummy and you can practice until dark." She said, smiling.
I nodded. "Thanks!" I said. -
Cari chose a dummy, as did her brother. Her brother decided to see what the others were doing, and decided to follow suit. Cari, on the other hand, was biting her lip, looking around, wondering what to do. "How'd I make myself float...?" She asked herself quietly. She tried to remember what she did. All she could remember was her wanting to see the fight, just like about everyone else. She thought about a rock hitting the dummy for what seemed like forever to her. After a while, she noticed she stopped breathing, so she gulped in some refreshing air, then sighed.

(That moment when you realize that you put the same word twice in a sentence...XP)

(:P)
I chose a dummy that was a bit farther away from the other ones. I thought about what might be my power as an Aries. I scratched the top of my head and hit my horns. Horns. Horns are usually what a ram is known for. That and wool. I closed my eyes and tried to think of something to do. -
Cari sighed. All she wanted was the freaking pebble to move!
"Need help?" A Libra trainer asked.
"Well, um... How do I use this..uh.."
"Psychokinesis," She said.
"Yeah. How do I use it?" Cari asked.
"What are you doing?" The trainer questioned.
"Uh, well, I thinking about wanting to hit the dummy with this pebble," Cari said, pointing her foot at the white rock."
The Trainer sighed." Is it like this with all new Libra's...?" She asked herself. The trainer then shook her head, then said, "You don't want it to hit the dummy. You make it happen. Understand?"
Cari shook her head. The trainer sighed yet again.
"Well, you were thinking, 'I want this rock to hit the dummy', amiright?" Cari nodded. "Instead of thinking that, focus all your power into making it move, like this," she flicked her finger up, and a rock lifted up. She twirled her finger around, as did the rock, then she flicked her finger out in front of her, and the rock smashed into the dummy's head.
"I think I got it now," Cari said. First she rubbed her temples, then she stuck her hand in front of her. She imagined picking up the rock, and she slowly moved her hand up. At first she didn't notice, but she saw the white rock moving around, like an object just out of reach of the magnet.
"Don't forget to breath," the trainer reminded her. Cari then sucked in some air, and continued breathing. Slowly-ever so slowly- the rock began to rise. The rock was spinning all around. But, before it reached waist-height, it dropped back to the ground. She scowled, but the Trainer said,"Don't worry, it took me months to just do THAT." She smiled. "Keep practicing!" She walked away to help someone else. -
I thought about things that would relate to my horns that I could focus on. I sighed exasperated and opened my eyes. An Aries trainer was standing in front of me with a smile on her face. "Hello," she said, kindly. I smiled weakly, "How do you use your magic for Aries?" I asked, frowning. The trainer smiled, "what were you thinking of?" She asked. "I thought that when people think of Aries or a ram in general, they think of rams' horns or wool." The trainer nodded, "you are on the right track," she said, smiling. She tossed me a sword and I caught it. "You will need this," the trainer said, "focus on the impact that a rams' horns can make on you and imagine that pressure on the blade." I closed my eyes and did what she said. My sword glowed and I charged to the dummy and the sword went right through it. "Good, except the sword was being fuelled by your thoughts, not your emotions, work on that." She said, walking away.

Meanwhile, with Carl, he was attacking the dummy with his boxing glove-like hands.
"You're doing it wrong," An older Cancer trainer said. Carl just grunted, not wanting to be distracted.
It was silent. Then, The older trainer asked, "Who do you care for most?"
Carl eyed him, then said,"My sister."
"So the mute speaks," The Trainer smiled. "So family's important, eh?" Carl didn't say anything. "Let's be creative and think now..." the Trainer said, "..How would you react if.. Let's say.. You saw your sister die right in front of you." Carl didn't say anything. "Let's say she.. Burned to death. Said to be one of the worst ways to die." Still silence. "Doesn't effect you at all? The image of her skin bubbling like wax, her screaming at you to help, seeing her bones, her fingers becoming charcoal..? Feelings of regret, misery, depression even years after her death, driven to insanity?" You could see Carl's jaw clenched, trying not to get angry. "No, let it out," the Trainer commanded, crouching down. ".. Or are you to weak?" That was it, Carl changed his aim at the trainer's head. "I'M." Miss. "NOT." Another miss. "WEAK!" The trainer caught the fist, curling it. "Get better aim." He threw Carl to the ground. "Other than that, it was perfect." With that, he left. -
The Leo closed his eyes and thought of home. A warm fire crackling in the hearth, a little girl giggling as her brother read her a story. A father who's wise eyes where winkles at the corner with laugh lines and a kind face sitting in a arm chair. A mother carrying in hot chocolate with just the right temps. Suddenly Jace was no longer standing on two legs but four. Opening his eyes he chuckled softly. In the place of the boy was a huge, pale-colored lion with massive paws and jaw. He padded silently to the lake and lept ontop if the rocks peering up at the stars and the moon.

I drove the sword into the dummy for about the 10th time. The dummy now looked like Swiss cheese, with all the holes. The Aries trainer was watching again. "There you go! You caught on fast," the trainer said, smiling. I nodded while panting. The trainer walked towards me. "Next you must learn how to use wool. As you said, wool can be used for an Aries' magic." The trainer said. I nodded again. "Focus on what makes you feel comfort. They make you feel warm and fuzzy, which is what your trying to achieve. Then," the trainer held out her hand and a wool whip formed into her hand. She flicked the whip at the dummy and the arm almost fell off to the point that it was dangling. The whip desolved and she held out both her hands and a wave of wool appeared and knocked into the dummy, toppling it over. My eyes widened. "You try," the trainer said. I closed my eyes and tried to imagine things that made me feel comfort.

The lion layed down and tucked his paws under his chest. It took most a long time to connect with their true form but Jace was a lion when he was born. He watched the lake shimmer and reflect the moon and stars above. Everything was quiet and rather boring.
