  Cloud spotted Skyheart. "He left. Floodeye is gone. There's no blood, and their scents part in different ways," he observed. He was about to lay his tail on her shoulders, but he stopped himself. She doesnt love you, he reminded himself.

  Skyheart sat down, gazing into his eyes. For once she didn't try to hide her scratch, and the long line looked bright red against her black fur. "Please...?"
