Clearpaw nodded, not quite understanding. "Either way, you won't take revenge on anyone as long as I can help it." She prepared to fight if necessary.
-
"I'll leave. I may hate your clan, but I hate fighting know-it-all apprentices more." Leafeye hissed.
-
Clearpaw hissed, but didn't say any more.
Sandpaw sat in the forest, next to a small stream. Small, quivering tears traced slowly down her muzzle as she watched the water. It moves on so easily...No matter what it encounters, it continues to flow. But I won't forget this. Won't move on. I can't. She closed her golden eyes and felt a slight breeze ruffle her fur. She sighed. The waves of heartbreak that had shook her body were gone, replaced by a dull ache and longing. -
Leafeye stood up, then began to follow his scent trail back towards Jayclan. But before he went too far, he asked, "Is Oakstripe alright?"
-
Clearpaw paused, looking for the right words. "He and Nettlestar...are no longer mates. He was blinds by a rogue." She explained sadly.
Ivypaw was still hovering over his mother. "How do you feel?" -
Nettlestar sighed. "As i keep saying, I'm fine!"
Leafeye hid his shock behind a stone-cold exterior. He said nothing, but continued on his way. -
Ivypaw sighed. "No, you aren't. There's something in your eyes. You're trying not to let on how you really feel. You're upset about something."
Clearpaw watched as the older cat walked towards the Jayclan border. "Should I tell him you were here?" She called. -
"'Best not to start up old hates." Leafeye replied
"I'm telling you, I'm fine!" Nettlestar meowed, an edge on her voice. -
Clearpaw nodded. "I understand. Thanks for not, Er, killin anyone."
Ivypaw stood his ground refusing to budge. "Please, tell me." -
"Ivypaw, I'm not a kit. I'm fine."
Leafeye ignored her, and disappeared into the shadows of the tunnels. -
Clearpaw blinked, heading back to camp. She beckoned Blizzardpaw and Finchbreeze to follow.
Ivykit twitched his ears nervously but didn't move. "Tell me." -
"...Ivypaw!" There was a warning tone in Nettlestar's voice.
Blizzardpaw wearily stood up and followed Clearpaw. -
Clearpaw padded into camp to see Ivypaw glaring at Nettlestar. "Tell. Me." He hissed. "I'm trying to help!"
-
"Ivypaw, no." Nettlestar hissed.
Blizzardpaw went up to stand next to his brother. -
Ivypaw smiled at Blizzardpaw, then turned to Nettlestar. "This is for the good of the clan. You need to explain what's wrong." He hissed, his ears now flat.
