"Keeeeeeeeeeelly! You could at least try to be semi-nice!" Jane meowed. She turned her attention back to Firepaw. "I've never met a forest cat! Is it scary? Is it fun? What's it like outside? Do you like it there?"
Bob reappeared, carrying Ravenpaw and the two papers he had been scribbling on earlier. He opened the cage next to Firepaw's, and set Ravenpaw in it. Closing the cage door, he tacked one of the papers to it. He did the same with Firepaw's cage. -
"It's lovely." Firepaw growled sarcastically. "Which is why I need to get out of here and go back." The tabby didn't even notice Ravenpaw.
"Ugh, another one! Why do we get stuck with all the savage wild cats?" She cried indignantly, twitching her tail irritably.
Another one? Firepaw thought, turning her head. She jumped in surprise. "Ravenpaw! I told you to escape!" -
Ravenpaw's tail twitched angrily. "And I told you I wouldn't leave without you!"
"Ooh! It sounds fun! I was born in here, you see, so I always ask the new cats what the outside world's like. Do you eat mice and rats in the wild? I've never eaten a mouse! " -
Firepaw swore under her breath and shook her head. "You should've gotten out. You could've gotten help." She said, ignoring Jane's questions.
Kelly rolled her eyes. "Don't be stupid. There's no way out of here unless you get adopted." -
"Hey, what was I supposed to do? Wander around for a moon before finally finding my way back to camp? " Ravenpaw argued.
"Yeah, that's the only way. Or dying, but no one wants that. You're not that old, so just act cute and you'll be out in a month. Unless no families come to visit the- Hey, you didn't answer any of my questions! " -
Firepaw sighed and turned to Jane. "Yes, we do eat mice." She internally groaned and dreaded the idea of acting 'cute', but if it would help them escape...

"Oh, and don't expect to be alone. Usually a twoleg family will take one younger cat and an older one. Or, if they have kids, they'll usually take two young cats. And what does mouse taste like? Charles, you said you'v-"
Charles interrupted her. "My name is Franklin! " -
"So we need a twoleg family with kits then." Firepaw confirmed with a nod.
"It's not like two scruffy forest cats have any chance of being adopted though." Kelly drawled from her cage. -
"Yeah, you'll need to groom your fur and look really energetic! "
Ravenpaw, hearing this, went to work on her fur. -
Firepaw rolled her eyes, but made an attempt to smooth her scruffy fur.
Kelly snorted, laughing at them. "They haven't got a chance." -
"Well then, if you know that we won't get out because we're from the forest, how come you haven't been adopted yet?" Ravenpaw countered.

"I'm a high class cat." She sniffed daintily. "No twoleg can afford to adopt and keep such an important feline."

"Then why are you kept here, in the same place as us forest cats?"

"Because the twolegs were foolish enough to send me here. I was supposed to go to a much higher class place." Kelly huffed.

Ravenpaw rolled her eyes.
