Skyheart smiled back, a soft purr rising from her. She leaned against him slightly, sighing contentedly at the warm feeling of his tabby pelt brushed up against hers. For what seemed to be the millionth time, she noted the ironic fact that Blizzardstorm had become mates with the only grown cat smaller then him in the clan.

Blizzardstorm twined his tail with hers, purring contentedly. But then he stepped away. "I'm sorry... about everything..."

Skyheart frowned and stepped closer, placing her paw carefully over his. "Blizzardstorm," She murmured. "I've already forgiven you. So please," Her voice was pleading. "Forgive yourself."

Blizzardstorm stepped away again. "I won't ever be able to forgive myself, Skyheart."

"Why...?"

"You don't understand. You've never intentionally caused someone's death." Blizzardstorm sighed, and his eyes got a far-away look.

"Neither have you." She moved closer, but didn't press against him. "I'm talking to you. Not to Blizzard."

Blizzardstorm gave her a sad look. "What makes so you sure of that? How do you really know that? "

Skyheart's voice didn't waver. "Because I know you." -
"Do you? Because I have killed. Me, not Blizzard. I was sane, and I was young."
(Remember Silverhawk, the cat with the spirits of Tigerstar and Silverstream? And how Blizzy killed... it... to free Silverstream's spirit?) -
Oh...)
Skyheart sat down and huffed determinedly. "Well you're not the only cat here who's murdered. I trust you, you must've had a good reason." -
"Well... yes, I did it to free a cat's spirit and to re -kill Tigersta... It's too long of a story to tell. "

Sky heart half-smiled and purred, "See? You had a reason."

"But killing is killing, even if you have a reason." He frowned.

Skyheart stood up. "Then I suppose that makes most of us guilty, doesn't it." She laughed, though there was little humor in her tone. "Almost makes you think. If we're all killers, do any of us make it to Starclan at all?"
