Blizzardstorm faintly realized that it was Blizzard who was pulling his towards the forest. Anger at the rouge set in. He had ruined his life! He used that anger, and tried to lunge to the side. At the same time, though, Blizzard did the same thing, but to the other side. Pain shot through him. It felt like he was being split in half, as if he was being torn apart. He collapsed to the side, but something was wrong. He could feel and move all his paws. Wearily, he stood up. He was in the rolling hills, and, across from him, stood a cat. It was an exact copy of him. But, as he stared at it, he realized he could see through the cat. Then, something about the cat changed. He could see the dark green eyes change to a light blue, and the tabby fur darkened. He let loose a bloodthirsty grin, and Blizzardstorm's world started to fade. But, in the moment before he lost consciousness, he had a thought. Blizzard is Hawkfrost, reborn. -

There was a throbbing feeling in his throat, Blizzardstorm realized. But, then again, he hurt all over. Isn't there supposed to be no pain in Starclan? Almost the exact second he thought that, the throbbing in his neck stopped.
Riverheart had stepped away from her brother's dead body. What have I done? -

The tom then realized something. If I'm dead, then why is no one here to show me around Starclan? Or... Dark Forest? Oh, wait... my eyes are closed. Or maybe I'm in neither place? Maybe I'm... I don't know!

He slowly opened his eyes. What was above him was confusing. That looks like to roof to camp... but I'm dead! -
