Rithe looked back at him and smiled again.
"Right. So we're going, then." she said, and after a long, awkward moment of trying place his weight so it wouldn't tip her over, she helped him out the door and immediately headed for an alley across the street, her shoulder brushing the wall on one side to keep her path straight. -
Hi, may I join?
-
If Papa wants you to.
-
You mean victor?
-
No, I mean Papa/Viktor.
-
Marcus felt her being uncomfortable under his weight, but he couldn't do anything. He couldn't even stand straight. He was helpless.
"I'm sorry...Next time I'll remember to leave some energy for myself."
Next time...they'd survived this one too. Almost the third time escaping death. -
Victor, my I please join you?
-
.___.
Welp. I think it's far too late. -
Rithe tried not to, but she still found herself laughing at him.
"Are you kidding me? Don't apologize. This is nothing. We'd be dead if not for you. I can handle a little work." She paused at the end of the alley, glancing out both ways, though she knew it was pointless, given the darkness that blocked her line of sight for anywhere past fifteen feet. It seemed they'd cut off all the lights.
When she was as certain as she was gonna get that no one was around, she bolted out, headed straight for the next alley, across from this one. Once she reached it, she stopped, panting. They'd ended up beside another house. She carefully set Marcus down again.
"Alright.. I'm gonna take a look here." she said, her voice a bit strained. "Will you be okay here for a little bit?"
You heard the man. .w. Bye Derrick. -
Okay, bye then.
-
"I'll be fine. I'll be fine."
He hated his existence. Too helpless.
He could feel very weak streames of energy being restored inside him slowly. But it wasn't enough. Maybe after some hours of sleep and some food he would fully get back to normal.
But for now, all he had to do was to sit there helplessly. -
Bye.
LOL he called me Victor again. -
Rithe smiled and crouched down in front of Marcus for a second, hugging him around the neck.
"I'm really glad you're alive. I just needed to tell you that in case I find someone in there." she murmured, and stood up. She turned the corner carefully, keeping to the wall. She approached the front door, and found that the knob had been shot off, leaving the door swinging freely on it's hinges. She walked in hesitantly, hands searching the walls for a lightswitch, but not finding one.
"Fanf---ingtastic." she muttered, feeling along the walls in order to move throughout the house. She tripped a few times, and with the curse words she spewed each time and found no response to them, she became aware rather quickly that no one was here. -
Yeah, I saw. He sucks at taking hints. Papa, I'm gonna go eat, and my sister might take the computer while I'm gone, so please forgive me if I'm not back.
-
*Kay, yeah, she's getting on. I don't know if I'll be back tonight. Good night, in case I'm not.
