So a soap opera is a T.V. show characterized by overly dramatic storyline and acting. They are usually on a small budget in their production and star lesser known actors.
That being said, all this "RPing" going on in here is called soap operas, and I'm curious as to why exactly they're called soap operas.
They seem pretty dissimilar to me other then characteristically low skill in production but you get that with a lot of things..But- just curious -
I think it's because the first person on here that started a story-like thread called it a soap opera. :3 I remember that thread. So I guess it just caught on.
