"Swings" I said then got up from the table "Can I bring my crayons?" I asked and looked up at her with a smile. I liked the swings they made me feel like a bird and if I was a bird I could get away from the yelling.

I nodded, wiping away yet another tear. "Sure thing. We can bring out a blanket, so you can lie down in the grass, too."

"Alright!" I said happily then hugged my sister and ran into my room to get more crayons. I grabbed a green yellow and red crayon then waited by the door patiently.

I grabbed a fresh blanket from the closet, one big enough for both of us. I also filled a small cooler with snacks and juice boxes. I smiled and opened the back door. "Let's go,"

I followed Taylor out the door and asked "Can you carry me?" smiling I held up my arms for her to pick me up. I wondered if she'd do it.

I laughed and crouched down. "I think you're a little big to be carried, but okay." I heaved up and moved Mike's legs around my waist. "You're really heavy," I grunted. "What a big, strong man you're going to be, Mike."

I laughed "I'm gonna be big like you." I burried my face and out of no where started crying "Do you have to go on the trip?" I asked with tears running down my face.

I set the blanket down in the grass, moved it around with my foot, and sat. "I don't have to, but," I smiled tearfully and hugged him close. "But I want to, Mikey. I've never been outside the city, and this is my chance." I rubbed his back and closed my eyes. "I don't want to leave you here," I whispered.

I hugged her back and struggled to say "Then don't." I didn't want to be alone with our parents the even just the thought of it made me cry harder.

"I'll ask my teachers if you can come," I whispered. "If you can't, I'll ask around, and see if someone we know will take care you."

I sniffled "Okay." I knew I wouldn't be able to go and my parents wouldn't allow somebody to watch me.

"Hey, Mikey, it'll be okay. If we can't find somebody to look after you, I won't go. Okay?"

"Okay" I said in a sigh "I'm just gonna draw now" I sat down and started drawing.
