"That doesn't sound good." I ran downstairs and into the living room. My driver's licence picture smiled out at the camera. "I hate that picture." I sighed.

I smiled. "They don't know where we are. They can't find us."

"They know where we live! Mum knows-" My voice cracked. Not at my mother's name, but at my friend's. "Mum knows where Alayna lives and how close we are. She has to have some idea."

I kissed her forehead. "We'll be fine." I promised. "We can leave tonight, if you want to. We will find Alayna."
