Uh...
Perry hit the doorframe. "Perfect. My BFF is in England. Yay." She groaned miserably. -
(My character's name is Michael, right? xD I forgot)
-
Yeah, it's Michael)
I glared at the man on the floor. "So...what happens to him?" -
Perry paced back and forth in Alayna's room. She glared at the man fiercely. "When will she get there and who do I contact?"
-
The man glared at Perry, then glanced back to me, fear invading him. "Two days from now, if everything goes according to K- Kal- Khaller's plan."
-
"Two DAYS?" Ugh!! And, who is Khaller?
Lol this summer my friend Alayna actually did go to England for 2 weeks -
I picked him up. "Who is Khaller?" I demanded. He groaned. "I don't know, I've never actually met him. He just sends me texts and that's his code name." His eyes were pleading. "I have no idea who he is, I swear!"
-
I smiled sadly. "I believe him Michael." She sighed and looked at the floor. "How do we contact him?"
-
I nodded. The man massaged his arm. "His number is in my cell. Look, kid, I don't ask questions, I just do what he says. I owe him so much, this was the only road to take." He gave Perry his cell phone. I stood back, frowning.
-
She smiled graciously at the man and copied the number to her phone. "Michael, let him stay with us."
-
I nodded. "Fine. I'll go find him a room."
-
My throat tightened. I remembered all the un times I'd had here as a child. "He can stay in Rowan's room. It's right across the hall with the R on the door."
-
I wanted to stay with Perry, and comfort her. She just lost her best friend, and here I was, taking care of the guy who sent her away. My eyes lingered on her face a little longer. "Okay," I said. "I'll be right back." I promised.
-
She tried to smile, but turned away and settled for a nod. She sat on Alayna's bed. Her bed was up against the wall, pink and green. Her walls were a soft baby pink and she had a closet built into the room. A white bookshelf and a drawer were in the room, and a small rocking chair next to the bed. She remembered all the birthday parties, how they talked about boys. She sobbed and flopped onto her bed, remembering everything.

We walked down thall in silence, until the man asked me a question. "What's your name?" he asked. "Why should you care?" I snapped. Then, with a sinking feeling in my gut, I apologized. "Sorry." he shrugged. "It's fine. I'm Marcus, by the way. Marcus Howe." I suppressed a grin. "I'm Michael." I said, holding out my hand. Marcus got a funny look on his face, but shook my hand anyway. "How old are you, Michael?" I glanced sideways. "Almost seventeen." I said. "Why?" Marcus looked away. "No reason," he muttered. "I guess this is it." Marcus shook my hand again. "I'm sorry, Michael. I didn't ask for this life. I didn't use to be like this. I had a real life, a family. A wife, three amazing children," his voiced cracked and he looked me painfully, as if remembering something from a long time ago. I cleared my throat. "I should, um...I should go check on Perry. The girl." Marcus nodded. "Take care, Michael." he said firmly.
