  Because he wanted them to be animals.
  So if he created animals in his image then there will be no animals.

  The big bang theory is basicaly there was nothing then there was everything. Most who believe this are scientists who also say energy cannot be created or destroyed. If that is so how did it happen?
  
  If everything was just floating around in space (Ive never heard that one before) what are the chances of one planet being the right distance away? And having what is necasiry for life to form if you believe that man came from a pile of cells that evoloved?

  Human beings are also animals. We're mammals. So saying animals don't have souls is saying we don't have souls.
  
  A dog will be kind and procreative of those who care for it, but if you abuse it and treat it poorly, it will not care for you when you are attacked. Animals feel, they know pain, love, and have memories of those they care for. They are not soulless creatures, and claiming they are, is claiming you also don't have a soul.

  "Apes huh? Do apes have souls?" I think you just proved his point. Anytime I hear a dumb--- response like that, I find it impossible to believe we are the intelligent design of a higher power.
  BTW, until you can prove the existence of souls, then nothing has a soul.
