Why would you get up early on Sunday morning to go to church? That means , if you have a five day school week, you can only sleep in on Saturday.
Its just a question, and I'm curious to see what answers you have. Again, I'm not insulting anybody because of their religion or anything. Just asking. -
MoonlightNinja NewbieSunday is when Jesus rose from the dead. You know, Easter Sunday. Then that morning someone went to check on His tomb (I forgot who... I'll come to me in a few minutes) and Jesus wasn't there. The cloths he was wrapped in was nearly folded inside the tomb.
So basically, that's why most people go to church on Subday morning. Some people I know go on Saturday evening, afternoon, Sunday afternoon.

chrissybieber NoviceFrom what I remember from all those religion lessons back in primary school, Jesus rose from the dead on a Sunday, so the day is pretty special to Christians. Also, God told to "Keep Sunday a holy day."
I don`t go to church anymore, mainly because I get lazy and I don`t see any point in it, I`m still (Protestant) Christian, so I believe in God and all that.
Also, you DON`T have to go to church to be saved!

It is tradition to go to Church on a Sunday because it was believed Sunday was the sabboth. The sabboth is a day of rest and a day to focus on God.
However, Sunday does not have to be the day of the sabboth. Saturday is also popular but any other day is perfectly fine.
Pesonally, I go to Church and bible study on Sunday afternoon. This is the youth service. I also go to youth group on Friday nights.
In answer to your question, people who go to Church early in the morning do not think of it as a pain. They want to learn about God to become stronger in their faith and are enthusiastic to wake up early, instead of sleeping in. -
Kendall NewbieI don't go to church early Sunday morning. I actually go to church Sunday evening because I have Youth Group right before mass. Now youth group is on mondays, but I still go to church during the evenings. So I actually get to sleep in both days!

No, I don`t. I (used) to go to church every week, waking up at an early time. No, I don`t really enjoy getting up early, but I did really love God, so I just went anyway. Now I don`t see any point in going to church so I don`t, but my faith continues. -

Say it`s your beloved sisters/family's wedding early in the Sunday morning. Would you not go just because you`re lazy and want to sleep in? No, you go, even if it`s early, because you love them. You`re sacrificing a time when you`ll normally sleep in to do something you love. -
Same here. I don't go to church mainly because the one I used to go to drifted from how I believe. :I
I love having 'church' with my parents, though. What church really was meant to be was fellowship and learning God's word, not some organized big building trying to sell you stuff. My dad is really smart about these things. Seriously, if I could bring someone to logically stand up for Christianity, it would be my dad.
Also, side note, I don't actually mind waking up early. xD I don't like sleeping late. It feels like my day is half gone. -
@Crissy I don't think my brother will plan his wedding at an early time in the morning any time soon. NOT EVEN MY FRIENDS WOULD DO THAT!! And they're mormon. :3

Right now, my church doesnt start until one...so...And I just go to bed early the day before. I get enough sleep. Plus, I LOVE going to church! SO yeah. It would be like if...Robert Downey Jr. was going to be here. In Washington. But it was at 7:00 am. You would go! XD
