well, they do still have a supreme, all powerful, all knowing, all loving, man running the show. so foggy as the holy trinity may be, you could still call it a "god" rather gods. but even aside from that catholicism holds many aspects of a more pagan faith.
personally i think it's neather monotheist or polytheist.
maybe we should make a Bi group for religion? -
tongue NewbieCatholicism did take on many Pagan traditions early on, yes. Taking on those rituals is what made it a universal power in medieval Europe. I'm taking a college level World History class, so I've learned about that.

until henry the 8th, kinda denounced. things kinda slowed down for them from there. presumably because after the tudor/stewart switch in monarchy england becoming a power house in the americas as well as europe, and with that sort of, lol well loss the catholic church had a great deal less power.
